Please print these instructions out for use in Safe Mode.

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.
  • Double-click VundoFix.exe to extract the files
  • This will create a VundoFix folder on your desktop.
  • After the files are extracted, please reboot your computer into Safe Mode. You can do this by restarting your computer and continually tapping the F8 key until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode then hit enter.
  • Once in safe mode open the VundoFix folder and doubleclick on KillVundo.bat
  • You will first be presented with a warning.
    It should look like this

    VundoFix V2.13 by Atri
    By using VundoFix you agree that you are doing so at your own risk
    Press enter to continue….


  • At this point press enter one time.
  • Next you will see:

    Type in the filepath as instructed by the forum staff
    Then Press Enter, Then F6, Then Enter Again to continue with the fix.


  • At this point please type the following file path (make sure to enter it exactly as below!):
    • C:\WINDOWS\system32\jkkjg.dll
  • Press Enter, then press the F6 key, then press Enter one more time to continue with the fix.
  • Next you will see:

    Please type in the second file path as instructed by the forum staff
    Then Press Enter, Then F6, Then Enter Again to continue with the fix.

  • At this point please type the following file path (make sure to enter it exactly as below!):

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\gjkkj.*

    This will be the vundo filename spelt backwards.
  • Press Enter, then press the F6 key, then press Enter one more time to continue with the fix.
  • The fix will run then HijackThis will open.
  • In HiJackThis, please place a check next to the following items and click FIX CHECKED:

  • After you have fixed these items, close Hijackthis and Press any key to Force a reboot of your computer.
  • Pressing any key will cause a "Blue Screen of Death" this is normal, do not worry!
  • Once your machine reboots please continue with the instructions below.
Download and install CleanUp!

Open Cleanup! by double-clicking the icon on your desktop (or from the Start > All Programs menu).
Set the program up as follows:
Click "Options…"
Move the arrow down to "Custom CleanUp!"
Put a check next to the following (Make sure nothing else is checked!):
  • Empty Recycle Bins
  • Delete Cookies
  • Delete Prefetch files
  • Cleanup! All Users
Click OK
Press the CleanUp! button to start the program.

It may ask you to reboot at the end, click NO.

Then, please run this online virus scan: ActiveScan

Copy the results of the ActiveScan and paste them here along with a new HiJackThis log and the vundofix.txt file from the vundofix folder into this topic.

I attempted to follow those instructions exactly, but was unable to. Once I typed in the first filepath, hit Enter, F^, then Enter again, HijackThis opened before letting me type in the second filepath. I went ahead and ran HijackThis, but I screwed up, and hope I didn't make any critical error. You see, I neglected to put a check next to "O20 - Winlogon Notify: jkkjg - C:\WINDOWS\system32\jkkjg.dll". So, not sure of what to do :blink: , I ran HijackThis again, put a check next to both boxes, and fixed them both.
I did the CleanUp program. Then I did the active scan, but for some reason, the scan came up in a smaller window, which I did not have the option to maximize. Once the scan was complete, it said that I had 2 viruses, and 11 spywares, but I did not get a result report. I apologize for not completing everything as you said.
I did run HijackThis again, and both that logfile and the vundofix.txt file are attached.

I suggest you do this:


Close all windows and browsers.
Open HijackThis

Click on Open Misc Tools
Click on Delete a File On Reboot
Click once on the file below to select it:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\jkkjg.dll

Click on the Back button to exit Process Manager


Now, back at the main screen of HijackThis, proceed to Scan.

Run hijackthis. Hit None of the above, Click Do a System Scan Only. Put a Check in the box on the left side on these:

O2 - BHO: ATLDistrib Object - {7A1A109F-58B3-414B-9829-5F4D9BE5FEDE} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\jkkjg.dll (file missing)

O20 - Winlogon Notify: jkkjg - C:\WINDOWS\system32\jkkjg.dll (file missing)

Close ALL windows and browsers except HijackThis and click "Fix checked"



1. Open My Computer
2. Right click on your hard drive that you wish to clean (C drive, for example)
3. In the context menu that opens, select properties
4. Under the general tab you should select Disk Cleanup
5. Windows will scan your drive which will take a few seconds/minutes
6. A box will display the various files you can remove.
Check all boxes except compress old files (If listed)
7. Click OK and windows will comply.

Restart your computer.

Reboot and "copy/paste" a new log file into this thread.
Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.

Right now, my computer is running s but slower than usual, booting up takes a bit longer, pages load a bit slower, I have been receiving two error code popups: one is a warning that my computer may have a virus, followed by one that says Norton has removed the Downloader Trojan from my computer. These windows come up once in awhile. Nothing has yet happened though, as I type this, after re-starting. Again, nothing yet since re-start, but I have been getting a variety of other annoying pop-ups. If they return prior to your next response, I'll post what they are. Here is the HijackThis log:
