When my system should be idle, a process called just "System" uses anywhere from 80-100% of my CPU resources and like 240K mem. Other times, "System Idle Process" may use it all. What are these two processes and how do I get my computer back?

Also, there are entirely too many Button Add ons. I plan on removing those, but I wanted you guys to see the untouched log. Also, do I need all these ATI programs? My vid card is a AIW 9600 with the latest Catalyst drivers.
It's probably also worth mentioning that this was a clean install of windows a few days ago.
