Had a problem with this for awhile. It wasn't too bad on account that I'd set my home page to blank, and IE would startup with a blank HP. Well not any more. I appreaciate your help. If you could give me your opinions about firefox, mozilla, and/or opera I'd appreaciate it. I've heard these programs don't have this problem. Anyways thanks agian for oyur help.

You have a CWS infection. Could you click here to download CWShredder by Merijn Bellekom and run it, hit 'fix' as opposed to 'scan only'.

Click here to make sure that you have the latest patches for Windows. It's very important to keep your system up to date to avoid unnecessary security risks.

Create a new folder called C:\HijackThis, extract the HijackThis.exe file from the zip file into the new folder and run it from there. This is necessary to ensure you have backups should anything go wrong. Then rescan with HJT and post a new log here so that any remnants can be removed manually.

Thanks for your help. I ran the cw shredder as you suggested and it fixed my homepage. Unfortunatley the window updates you suggested will take me around 4 or 5 hours to download, so I'm going to have to let the cpu sit overnight.

If I switch my browser to mozilla or opera, will I have better protection against these types of viruses? I'm just curious because of what I've read about them on the web.

I'll post my new hijack this results when I can.

Thanks again

- Beav
Yes you will. These exploits in the main affect IE. Let's get you cleaned up and then you can decide how you want to go forward.
Here you go man. This is my newest Hijack This readout. Thanks again for your help.
