Hello and welcome to TomCoyote forum. I must say I do not see this stuff you are describing but HJT can not see everything. If you still need help and are not receiving it elsewhere, I will try to help. First I need some help from you. You are running HJT.exe from a .zip file in a Temporary Directory. This is unsafe as we may have no backups. That is why you received this message when you used HJT: http://russelltexas.com/malware/images/unsafefolder.gif Please use the information in the following link to place HJT in a permanent, safe folder: http://russelltexas.com/malware/createhjtfolder.htm I suggest C:\HJT\HijackThis.exe.

Once you have fixed HJT, then download Stinger from here: http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/ follow all directions to update and run it, allow it to remove anything it locates. Please post the resuts of the Stinger scan or at least tell me what it located and removed.

You are running MSConfig in Selective Startup. This may be why I can't see the bad stuff. I must see everything, so the next HJT log needs to be with MSConfig in Normal mode.

Then post a new HJT log with HJT.exe in the new, safe location. I will respond as soon as possible after this log is posted.

Thanks…pskelley

i downloaded and ran stinger and there were no listing when it was done here is the latest hijack list, also everytime I run ad aware or spybot it comes up with a high threat altnet, is this a hidden file should I be concerned about it after running ad-aware i get the following after I boot up AltnetBDE (1 object total) at lava soft is states the following: TAC - AltnetBDE TAC Level: 4 Removal: 0 Integration: 0 Distribution: 2 Program does not disclose info in EULA, has a confusing EULA, or a hidden EULA listing what is done with collected information. Behavior: 0 Privacy: 2 Connects to a remote system with or without the user's awareness to transmit usage statistics and/or personally identifiable information. Connects to a remote system without the user's awareness to transmit/receive information. I will remove these and when I run ad aware in a day or so they are back, what can I do about these thanks in advance
Hello, I must tell you it is important that you follow my directions. I do not mind if you give me feedback, but I have had to do a complete post because you did not post your log correctly, and because you were running MSConfig in Selective Startup mode, I could not see all of the programs to make sure you did not have malware turned off. I am well aware of the trojan worm, and made one attempt with Stinger that often works. If you wish my continued help, follow the directions until you have completed them all than post a new log as I requested. Thanks…pskelley
Sorry, there was no log after I ran stinger it run and the chart was blank, also Im not sure about MSConfig in Selective Startup mode, how do i cahnge it
Perhaps this information will help: http://netsquirrel.com/msconfig/
I need to see the log in Normal Startup mode. You do not have to reboot, you can scan with HJT then go back to Selective Startup. Understand that folks think they are stopping bad stuff by turning it off, this is not the case. Once you get the log, if you have completed the first instruction and moved HJT to a safe permanent folder, then post that log. We do have some bad stuff to remove yet.

Thanks…Phil
that was good info, i ran msconfig and the box checked was normal startup not selective. when I run hijack I placed the original folder in a program file HJT like you suggested as well as saved the log there is that correct?
That's unusual, you have a line in your first HJT log that tells me you are running Selective Startup. Check that one more time for me. Open the System Configuration Utility, make sure on the General Tab that the top item "Normal Startup" has the bullet in it. Then click Apply and OK. Now open HJT and choose "Do a system scan and save a logfile" wait until the notepad opens with the log in it, then copy and paste that information to this same thread. We do have stuff to clean at that point. Thanks…Phil
ran msconfig again, in general it was marked as you requested, here is the hj file I did not reboot like it asked me too though,

Hello, is someone helping you? I saw some R1 lines that are adware and I was going to have you remove them. They are gone before I could do this?

I see no evidence of any trojans like you mentioned in your first post, if anything happens to make you believe something may be there that HJT can't see, let me know and we will start some scans to check for it. If everything is running well, here is some great information from Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler to help you stay clean and safe online:
