Hi Shelf Life, sorry for the delay, been travelling with the laptop. I tried the CC cleaner, cleaned everything, including the registry. Still getting pop ups though, could it be something hidden, evil spyware stuff i tell you… thanks again
Hi Shelf life, dont know if you are still looking at this forum. but i am still getting pop ups all over the place, and after every clean i get two new dll's added to the startup, but the files cannot be found. any idea about this? or any other programs to scan with? thanks
hi dailo, sorry for delay. can you rescan and post a new hjt log. also do this with hjt: start hjt and click on "open the misc tools section" then click on "generate startup list" save that log file and post both the hjt log file and the startup list log in your next reply. shelf life
Hi Shelf life, really appreciate you taking the time to help me, just want to let you know.

hi dailo,

nothing stands out as malware in your log. MsgPlus comes with LOP, but you can chose not to install it. I dont see any LOP signs in your log. I see you have ewido. update and scan with ewido and save the scan and post it in next reply.

Once the scan has completed, there will be a button located on the bottom of the screen named Save report
* Click Save report.
* Save the report .txt file to your desktop.

new dll's added to the startup, but the files cannot be found. any idea about this

do you know what the .dll names are?

reccomend one or both of theses (free)

if you have these, check these things anyway:

Make sure you have latest versions of Spybot V 1.4 and Ad-aware SE Build 1.06

Download Spybot, install and update. Download Ad-aware, install, and update.

Spybot: http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html

Close ALL windows except Spybot S&D
Click the button to "Search for Updates" and download and install the Updates.
Next click the button "Check for Problems"
When Spybot is complete, it will be showing "RED" (RED) entries "BLACK" entries and "GREEN" (GREEN) entries in the window
Put a check mark beside the RED (RED) entries ONLY.
Choose "Fix Selected Problems" and allow Spybot to fix the RED (RED) entries.

Hi Shelf Life I scanned with ewido, normally it will find apropos, or cydoor, but this time it only found cookies.
