Hello: I am new to the forums so I hope I am in the right forum/thread. I have used HT with sucess in the past but am having some trouble now. I run Windows XP home edition. For the past week, everything seems to be running VERY slowly. It just seems that my computer's resourses are not enough to handle things. I have a 120 GB HD and 512 MB RAM and this has never been a problem for me. I have Adware 6, Spybot, Spyware Blaster, Spyware Guard, McAfee Antivirus (updated daily) and Zone Alarm Firewall (free version) and up until now my computer has been bullet proof to attacks of Spyware, Malware or Viri. When I saw this problem I ran all of these and saw no threats. Everything (at least on the surface) looks clean. I decided to run HT and post a logfile here but every time I run it, I get the Windows XP error message stating that HT has encountered a problem and needs to close. HT starts to scan, goes through the registry and then when it gets to "023 NT Services" it locks up and I get this error message. It gives me the choice to "Debug", "Send error report" or "Don't Send" and if I click on any of these it closes and I cannot get a logfile from HT. Is this a problem with my HT? Do I have the latest version (1.99)? I read somewhere about a parasite that locks up programs that try to detect it (can't recall it's name). Could I have something like this? I would GREATLY appreciate your help on this guys (and girls)! Thanks in advance for any advice you can provide. Ed
