I can see several infections present, Qoologic Trojan, and most likely Look2Me/Winfixer, and others. So this will me a muilti-stage (we can't nuk'em all at one time) process.

Please download/unzip this:

LQfix.zip

Reboot in "safe" mode.

on the file you just unzipped (LQfix.bat)

A DOS window will appear. When it is finished running it will say "Done!!" and close.

After it closes, reboot in normal mode and post a new log file in this thread.

We need to disable your Microsoft AntiSpyware Real-time Protection as it may interfere with the fixes that we need to make.

• Open Microsoft AntiSpyware.
• Click on Options, Settings.
• In the left pane, click on Real-time Protection.
• Under Startup Options uncheck Enable the Microsoft AntiSpyware Security Agents on startup (recommended).
• Under Real-time spyware threat protection uncheck Enable real-time spyware threat protection (recommended).
• After you uncheck these, click on the Save button and close Microsoft AntiSpyware.
• Right click on the Microsoft AntiSpyware icon on the taskbar and select Shutdown Microsoft AntiSpyware.

After all of the fixes are complete it is very important that you enable Real-time Protection again.

CLOSE ALL WINDOWS (even this one) AND PROGRAMS!!!!

Run Hijack This!
Click "Do a systen scan only".
Then "check" the box to the left of these item(s):

Then click "Fix checked" and close Hijack This!.

Now, please go to:

Start –> Run

In the box type in services.msc then hit < Enter > (or click OK)

In the Name column for:

Command Service (cmdService)

< Double-click > it.

In the dialogue box that pops up, check in the Path to executable box.

It should say: C:\WINDOWS\T3duZXIA\command.exe

That's how to be sure you have the right one.

Now, click Stop to stop that rogue process.

In the Startup type box, change it to Disabled.

Click Apply then OK

Close the services.msc window.

Reboot in "safe" mode.

Delete all of the following noted (in red) file(s)/FOLDER(s) you can find:

c:\windows\system32\aunps2.dll <— file

c:\windows\system32\cqfcmag.exe <— file

c:\windows\system32\d140113.a.stub.exe <— file

c:\windows\system32\exp.exe <— file

c:\windows\system32\jivart.dll <— file

c:\windows\system32\ls4spl.exe <— file

c:\windows\system32\wintask.exe <— file

c:\windows\t3duzxia <— FOLDER

c:\windows\ttupt.exe <— file

Some malware files may be "hidden".
Be sure to show hidden files when looking for these file(s) and/or folder(s).

Reboot in normal mode and "copy/paste" a new log file into this thread.

This entry will probably return:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [winsync] C:\WINDOWS\system32\ls4spl.exe reg_run

It is the Qoologic (Narrator) trojan. We will tackle it last.

This entry will probably return, either "as is", or slightly modified:

All we have left is Look2Me/Winfixer and Qoologic.

When I attempted to delete c:\windows\system32\jivart.dll, I got an error message stating that it could not be deleted because it was being used by another person or program. Could this be due to how I am logging into windows?

I expected that. That's Look2Me/Winfixer

Download L2mfix from one of these two locations:

Save the file to your desktop and l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop.

l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing .

This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, Notepad will open with a log. Copy/paste the contents of that log into this thread.

Let me know if any errors occur while running this program.


IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

Close any programs you have open since this step requires a reboot.

From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, l2mfix.bat and select option #5 for Fix Autoexec.nt/cmd.exe error by typing 5 and then pressing .

Now select option #2 for Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing , then press any key to reboot your computer.

After the reboot, your desktop and icons will appear, then disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread, along with a new hijackthis log.


IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder unless you are asked to do so!

I've been trying for an hour and a half to reply to your topic!!! I've rebooted, switched browsers, even replied to someome elses topic - TWICE!!! Don't know what's going on, but the problem isn't on my end. I finally had to split my reply into two parts to get in in here….. Sorry 'bout the delay.

I’m sooo sorry. I was doing all of this while taking care of other matters and coming back to the machine to do the next step. I didn’t expect all of this to be such a quick process (just continuing throughout the day) I had a previous commitment and had to leave after starting the last step. When I returned home the computer had locked up and had about a half dozen pop-ups but the l2mfix was no longer open. I think I may have derailed some of our efforts by misreading the last step. I opened the l2mfix folder and ran the file inside labeled 2 rather than the #2 option I rebooted again and ran the l2mfix #2 option and got an error message that reads: Cannot export backregs Error opening file There may be a disk or system error

Please post a new Hijack This! log file. I think things will be alright.

Looks like all we have left is Qoologic.

Download FindQoologic-Narrator.zip save it to your Desktop.

Extract (unzip) the files inside into their own folder called FindQoologic.
Open the FindQoologic folder. Preferable to your desktop.
Locate and double-click the Find-Qoologic.bat file to run it.

Wait until a text opens, post it in a reply to your thread.

It may take a few minutes to run, so be patient.

After you post the Qoologic log, go ahead and download/unzip this:
