if you format or wipe your hard drive clean, will it kill all viruses & spyware,trojans ????? just for my own info ???????? thanks & STAY SAFE

Yes, but if you don't do a Cold boot while re-installing, a virus may stay in the RAM memory. If you want to wipe clean:

1. Shut off the computer for at least 30 seconds. Power button off.
2. Insert Windows CD and boot from it
3. Format and re-install

Notice the order… follow it precisely.. always format with windows cd.
