I've heard lots of good things about HijackThis and the helpers at TomCoyote, so I figured I'd just give it a whirl. I run both AdAware and Spybot S&D regularly have Norton Anti-Virus 2005, along with all available updates for Windows XP. The only strange thing I notice about my computer is that sometimes it will quietly and quickly restart. It's only happened three times over the past two months, since I've moved to Florida. Other than that, my computer runs nicely. Thanks in advance and have a good day.
Aaaaand, I just realized I forgot to post the logfile along with the introduction. Brilliant! B) Anyway, here it is, pardon the bit of idiocy there.

toonamix71, you have posted in anothers post, please see this:

Guidelines: Please do not post your logs in someone else's thread. Start a new thread by clicking on New Topic. Do not post your problems into other open logs saying "I have the same issue, here is my log" etc. This is too confusing for everyone involved. Also, please stay with your original topic when posting follow ups.

If you wish help here, please use "NewTopic" to start your own thread. Thanks
Hello Amaterasu, Do you think it was moving to Florida that caused it? :D Being a Floridian I just thought I would ask. Let me say I had a good look at your log and I see nothing that should be causing the issues you describe. It sounds like a hardware issues it me, but I have been wrong before. I do see Minibug by Weatherbug and earlier versions are know to bring adware along with them and I would suggest you remove it and download the new version 6.0 which is free of adware. I suggest you post this query here: http://forums.tomcoyote.org/index.php?showforum=83 To see if they can help with the problem. While you wait check all of your cables to make sure they are good and tight because a loose cable can cause this issue. Here is also some information to look over: http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navc…restarts+itself
I will also say that HJT can not see everything and even though I do not believe this is a malware problem, I would be glad to run some scans to take a deep look for anything hiding. If you wish me to do this, I would appreciate a new HJT log because changes can and do occur in a week. Let the folks at Other Computer Problems know you were here and post a link to this thread if you wish. Thanks…Phil

I apologize for toonamix71's post in your thread and my need to make them aware of forum policy.

Thanks…pskelley

Thanks for the help, pskelley. Heh, I do like Florida, but my computer's been fine before then, so who knows. :)

My machine is getting older, so a hardware problem wouldn't be unexpected, just a pain. I'll make a point in the near future to check all the cables as well as open up the case and check for anything. I'll put it on my glass kitchen table and check to make sure all static has discharged before touching anything. I'm sure it needs a good dusting in there, anyways. :P

Here's an updated HJT log, just in case.

Thank you very much for the help and have a good day.
Hello again Victoria? (fellow Floridian) Maybe it's the heat and humidity, but it could be so many things, including dust in the computer. A look at this new HJT log shows nothing but the Minibug I mentioned earlier. If I can do anything else, please let me know…Phil Thanks…pskelley TomCoyote forum Slyware Warrior If you are reading this information…thank a teacher, If you are reading it in English…thank a soldier.
