Thx for the reply! =) Awaiting your next step.
Some new "baddies" have reared their ugly heads….. <_<

CLOSE ALL WINDOWS (even this one) AND PROGRAMS!!!!

Run Hijack This!
Click "Do a systen scan only".
Then "check" the box to the left of these item(s):

O2 - BHO: CControl Object - {3643ABC2-21BF-46B9-B230-F247DB0C6FD6} - C:\Program Files\E2G\IeBHOs.dll

O4 - HKCU\..\RunOnce: [icagfi] C:\WINDOWS\system32\icagfi.exe

O20 - Winlogon Notify: Uninstall - C:\WINDOWS\system32\sbrio800.dll

Then click "Fix checked" and close Hijack This!.

Reboot in "safe" mode.

Delete all of these noted file(s)/FOLDER(s) you can find:

c:\program files\e2g <— FOLDER

c:\program files\ipee <— FOLDER

c:\windows\etb <— FOLDER

c:\windows\system32\icagfi.exe <— file

Some malware files may be "hidden".
Be sure to show hidden files when looking for these file(s) and/or folder(s).

Reboot in normal mode and "copy/paste" a new log file into this thread. :)
I hate extra "baddies". Thanks for the fast reply. Here is the HJT scan.

I don't know much about this sort of thing, but I am curious as to why IPEE keeps coming back to life after I delete it in safe mode and empty it out of the trash bin. Thanks for your time Micah.
When things we "fix" keep showing up in the log, that usually means something is "hiding" that keeps reinstalling it.

So, it's time to try some stronger "medicine" to hunt for the "hiders".

Please download and run Spybot-Search&Destroy and Ad-Aware; they are the standard programs for finding and cleaning malware off your system. Here are links to both programs, and instructions for their use.

Get Spybot - Search & Destroy from Spybot Search and Destroy
(This is the NEW Version 1.4)
Get AdAware SE Personal from Lavasoft
(This is the NEW Build 1.6)

Download and install these programs if you don't already have them. If you do have them, make sure they are UPDATED AND CONFIGURED AS DESCRIBED here:

Configure Adaware

Configure Spybot

Reboot after running each program.

Try this online virus scan:

Trend-Micro Housecall

Choose "fix" or "clean".

Let it remove any infections found.

Reboot afterwards and "copy/paste" a new Hijack This! log file into this thread.

Also, please do this:

Download L2mfix from one of these two locations:

http://www.atribune.org/downloads/l2mfix.exe

http://www.downloads.subratam.org/l2mfix.exe

Save the file to your desktop and l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop.

l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing .

This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, Notepad will open with a log. Copy/paste the contents of that log into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!
Here is the HJT scan and the L2Mfix scan.

That was fun. I can't seem to access Trend HouseCall's Scan, it won't load the scanner. As soon as I get to the page, the space where the scanner should show up is marked by a red x box.
Close any programs you have open since this step requires a reboot.

From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, l2mfix.bat and select option #2 for Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing , then press any key to reboot your computer.

After the reboot, your desktop and icons will appear, then disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread, along with a new hijackthis log.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder unless you are asked to do so!
Sorry about the delay Micah, I had to work all day today. Anyways, here are the scans you asked for.

there they are. I'll keep checking forum over weekend. Once again, thanks for your help.
I hear ya about working.

I sing the same song the seven dwarfs sang….

"I owe… I owe… So off to work I go…"

Please download:

Killbox.zip

Unzip it, but don't run it yet.

Copy the file names in the quote box below to the clipboard by highlighting them and pressing
C (hold the key down, then press C):

c:\windows\etb\pokapoka63.exe
c:\windows\system32\othb.exe

CLOSE ALL WINDOWS (even this one) AND PROGRAMS!!!!

Run Hijack This!
Click "Do a systen scan only".
Then "check" the box to the left of these item(s):

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [System service63] C:\WINDOWS\etb\pokapoka63.exe

Then click "Fix checked" and close Hijack This!.

Run Killbox.

In Killbox select "Delete on Reboot".

Click File (in the upper left of Killbox), and choose "Paste from Clipboard".

Click the red dot with the white X in it, in the upper right of Killbox, then click "Yes", and "Yes" again.

After the reboot, see if you can delete this folder:

c:\windows\etb <— FOLDER

Then "copy/paste" a new log file into this thread. :)
GGrrr. Why can't it always be simple? <_<

Here is what is says in the error box when I try and delete the files from KillBot.
It pops this up before it reboots and doesn't reboot.

I couldn't delete the file or the process through HJT. It is still in use it says. The popups have all stopped appearing on the PC though. Not sure if this is a blessing or just the calm before the storm.
Let's try another tool (small download).

Please download APT and unzip the contents to a new folder on your desktop.
  • Open the folder you just created and click on apt.exe and search in the window for C:\Program Files\ipee\othb.exe.
  • Open your C:\Program Files\ipee folder and search for C:\Program Files\ipee\othb.exe.
Don't delete it yet, just leave the folder open so you can see the bad file.
  • In APT again, Select C:\Program Files\ipee\othb.exe and Click Kill3
  • Then immediately delete C:\Program Files\ipee\othb.exe from your system.
Close APT.

Reboot and post another log file.

Not sure if this is a blessing or just the calm before the storm.

It's just sprinkling AFTER the storm….
