I might add (in case it's releveant)that I for some reason can't access Windows Update.

I tried a fix I found here but it didn't work for me.
Download CW-Shredder at the link below: (don't run it yet)
http://cwshredder.net/bin/CWShredder.exe

Download 'SpSeHjfix'. into a folder. (don't run it yet) http://www.derbilk.de/SpSeHjfix112.zip

Clean out temporary and TIF files. Go to Start > Run and type in the box: cleanmgr. Let it scan your system for files to remove. Make sure these 3 are checked and then press *ok* to remove:

Temporary Files
Temporary Internet Files
Recycle Bin

Make sure you know how to boot into - SafeMode

Reboot into safe mode.

Disconnect from the net and Close ALL OPEN PROGRAMS.
Run 'SpSeHjfix'. and click on "Start Disinfection".
When it's finished it will reboot your machine to finish the cleaning process.
The tool creates a log of the fix which will appear in the folder.

Now run the Shredder - Hit The FIX button!

Reboot and repeat the process above.

Reboot and post a fresh HJT log and the log that was created by 'SpSeHjfix'
thanks for the fast reply, I'll do that as fast as I'm done fixing the update thingie. seems some dlls need re-registering. or something like that ;p
I'm assuming "repeat the process above" means everything from "Clean out temporary and TIF files." to "Now run the Shredder - Hit The FIX button!". Allright, wish me luck. ;)
Repeat all of the steps again, of course not the downloading as you will already have the tools from the first time, just make sure your in safe mode.
Ok, I fubled. But I think I fixed it even so ;p
I managed to both close SpSeHjFix mid-scan the second time around AND delete it's logfile thinking I'd start over fresh. When running CWShredder, Adaware and Spybot they didn't find anything.
Adding a fresh log from HijackThis just in case.
