Backup your Registry…
- Press "CTRL - ALT - DEL" keys all at the same time to start "Task Manager"
- In the Task Manager window click on "File", then from the drop-down menu select "New Task (Run…)"
- In the "Create New Task" window enter\type "regedit" (without quotes)
- Once Regedit opens click on the FILE menu and select Export
- Save the file as backup. Save the file somewhere you will remember and not delete.
IMPORTANT: make sure to set the export range to ALL




Download Registrar Lite from here:
http://www.resplendence.com/download/reglite.exe

Put it in its own folder. You may want to keep this program. It is an excellent free, registry editor. Search for these.

You might also look at what's in the startup.

click Start> Run> type in Msconfig tap enter key.
look in the Startup.
See if either are in there.

LD, I ran Registrar Lite and deleted every instance relating to bett, noha and tcsr, ran HJT and deleted it there, double checked the startup, win ini, system ini, and flushed the recycle bin and bett came back.

Then download this program.

http://downloads.subratam.org/DllCompare.exe

Open the program and click the "Run Locate.com" button.
Then click the "Compare" button (this will take a few minutes)
When it finishes click the "Make Log…." button.

Post the dll compare log to this thread.

It's not showing the whole file name so you'll need to find them. At this point lets rename the them to ieside~1.OLD and ivside~1.OLD

Restart and see if you can delete them.

Restart and post a new HJT log.

I dunno, I found other files named "inside your computer" and they belong to a screen saver…. I suspect they're related.
I did rename them both but did not delete them yet.
bett.exe has returned after boot

To configure Windows to show all files

Do the following:
In Windows, on the Windows desktop, double-click the My Computer icon.

On the Tools menu, click Folder Options.
On the View tab, uncheck Hide file extensions for known file types.

Uncheck Hide protected operating system files. Then, under the "Hidden files" folder, click Show hidden files and folders.
If you see a warning message, click Yes.
Click Apply.
Click OK.

Now see if you can find them.

I found them and renamed them but did not delete them yet.
I re-ran dll compare after re-boot and it gave a clean state…

Please do one more thing. After starting Hijack This!, click on Open the Misc Tools Section. To the right of Generate Startuplist log, there are two boxes. Check them both, then click Generate Startuplist log. Then "copy/paste" the contents of the startuplist log into your next post.
