Computer severely screwed up

I have a computer that a friend of mine was using while I was away. Now, it has all kinds of errors. When I first tried using it. I found that I could load some programs through the task manager, but not all, and not specific ones
Now, I finally have a desktop back, but there are still certain things that I cannot do. I cannot use the device manager, and I still can't do some little things like change my desktop wall paper which still says that I have a trojan and looks like the blue screen of death. Please help me.

Please download Ewido Security Suite
  • Install ewido security suite
  • Launch ewido, there should be a big E icon on your desktop, double-click it.
  • The program will prompt you to update click the OK button
  • The program will now go to the main screen
  • You will need to update ewido to the latest definition files.
  • On the left hand side of the main screen click update
  • Click on Start
  • The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed
  • After the updates are installed, exit Ewido
Reboot your computer into Safe Mode by tapping F8 after the BIOS has loaded.

Open Ewido
  • Click on scanner
  • Click Complete System Scan
  • Let the program scan the machine
While the scan is in progress you will be prompted to clean the first infected file it finds. Choose "remove", then put a check next to "Perform action on all infections" in the left corner of the box so you don't have to sit and watch Ewido the whole time. Click OK.

Once the scan has completed, there will be a button located on the bottom of the screen named Save report
  • Click Save report
  • Save the report to your desktop
  • Exit Ewido
Reboot into normal mode. Next, click here to download smitfraud.reg and save it to the desktop. When done, double click the smitfraud.reg and click yes when asked to add to the registry.

Download this file to your desktop. Click HERE.

Right-click on the deldomains.inf file and select 'Install'

Once it is finished your Zones should be reset.

Reboot your computer again, rescan with HJT and post a new log here together with the ewido report you saved.
