Hello Sherri, welcome to the forum. Sorry about the delay in responding :( If you still need help, Scan again with HijackThis, and copy/paste" a new log file into this thread.
I've managed to get rid of most of the popups that were occuring. I still get a few pop-unders but not so many that it annoys the devil out of me. The problem that occurred recently is that my system will no longer go into an idle. Messenger never shows me away and the computer never goes to the screen saver. Here is a log from this morning. I would appreciate a reply :)

You have a Lop infection caused by Messanger Plus. Click the link below and follow the instructions to remove the infection.
http://grc.com/stm/shootthemessenger.htm

You can re-install Messenger plus later, just remember to install without
advertising support.

"copy/paste" a new log file into this thread.
Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment
This didn't uninstall messenger plus. I understood from your reply that it would. I installed shoot the messenger and it told me that messenger was disabled. From the site you gave me I understood that Messenger service was not in any way related to, "MSN Messenger", "Windows Messenger", or any other well-known instant messaging system. Should I manually uninstall message plus and then reinstall it without the sponsor programs?
Use Add/Remove Programs and remove Messenger plus. You can re-install Messenger plus later, just remember to install without advertising support. "copy/paste" a new log file into this thread. Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment
I don't notice any problems except that the computer will not go to a screen saver and messenger won't mark me away when I have been idle the required time. I have deleted message plus. Norton isn't loading and when I tried manually I recieved a message savRT32.dll not found. My subscription has expired to Norton as well as the subscription to zone alarm.

You also have a peper infection that we need to remove

Click the link and Save the uninstall file to you desktop.
http://www.memorywatcher.com/uninst.exe

Now double click the file you just downloaded.

When you run the uninstaller, you MUST have an internet connection active for it to work

This Peper removal tool only works if run twice. To complete each stage of the Peper removal you need to REBOOT to clear the peper infection each time you run the tool, or the infection will remain.

After the second scan:

Empty Recycle Bin

Reboot and "copy/paste" a new log file into this thread.
Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.
The machine seems to be acting normal again. Mesenger again will show me away and windows goes to the screen saver. There was never anything in the recycle bin to emtpy after running uninstall.exe. I ran http://lop.com/new_uninstall.exe as you suggested and it made no difference. I went to http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ and ran housecall, it found and removed the lop infection. I'm not sure that the unistall from memory watcher did anything that I can tell.

If you dont have these three programs I would recommend that you get them. Spywareblaster, Spywareguard and IESPY AD. They will add 1000's of sites to your resticted zone and block some hijacks from happening. I also have a FREE FIREWALL and FREE ANTI VIRUS if you need one.

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system.

Keep your system up to date and run Adaware & Spybot, once a week works, and hopefully you will be ok from here on. Both are available below.

Safe Surfing. :D
