Greetings and welcome to TomCoyote.org!

That sure is an infected machine. :(

Let's try some "off the shelf" software to see if we can cut it down to a managable size.

Please download and run Spybot-Search&Destroy and Ad-Aware; they are the standard programs for finding and cleaning malware off your system. Here are links to both programs, and instructions for their use.

Get Spybot - Search & Destroy from http://security.kolla.de
(This is the NEW Version 1.4)
Get AdAware SE Personal from http://www.lavasoft.de/support/download
(This is the NEW Build 1.6)

Download and install these programs if you don't already have them. If you do have them, make sure they are UPDATED AND CONFIGURED AS DESCRIBED here:

Configure Adaware

Configure Spybot

Reboot after running each program.

Please try these free online virus scans of your system:

Trend-Micro Housecall

Panda Activescan

Etrust Security Advisor

Choose "fix" or "clean".

Let them remove any infections found. Reboot after each scan.

When finished, "copy/paste" a new log file into this thread. :)
Thank you so much for your reply. I have Spybot and Adaware ready to load along with Zone Alarm and AVG. But the comp has crawled to a halt and I cant find "Disk Clean Up" installed anywhere. I will go back to the infected comp and clean up and uninstall what I can and see If I can then install the software and then repost an "after" log. One question though, are updates for Zone alarm etc available as stand alone downloads, as I'm using a memory stick to transfer the programs to the infected computer and would need to make sure they have the latest definitions. Thank you again :D
Thank you again for your help. I installed Adware,Spybot, Zone Alarm and AVG. Adware and AVG have been run with the outdated definitions and cleaned up masses of junk. I am now able to use the machine and I will update the programs and then I'll post the hopefully last HiJackThis Log. Many thanks again.
Just to let you know that there is hope….

Take a peek at this log.

I don't know how that machine was able to function at all!!!

That was the log with the largest amount of malware in it that I have personally worked on, and your's isn't nearly that infected.
:)
:P
Finally Iv'e installed updated and ran:
Spybot Search & Destroy
Zone Alarm (free edition)
Adaware
AVG (free edition)
Gosh it found massess and cleaned, healed and removed what it found. Here is the log file for the last HiJack This

Okay, followed your previous instructions,
04-HKLM\..\Run [ychswxme] C;\WINNIT\system32\ktatex\ychswxme.exe
hub132.exe
ipconn.exe
uhapayire.exe
windriver32.exe
winstart.exe
were missing, the user had performed a spybot check and AVG prior to this scan!!
Hope this hasnt complicated the clean up. I've banned their use of the comp untill this is sorted. However it looks as if I havent disabled the tea timer correctly? This is a headache
If so I'll go back and rescan. Sorry

You did great!!!!

All the malware is gone!!!

GOD bless you!!!

Items you may wish to consider to harden your defenses against future infections:

Read "How did I get infected in the first place?"

Download/install IE-Spyad

IE-Spyad puts over 4000 known malicious web sites into IE's "restricted zone" to help prevent you from getting infected.

Check your browser settings at Qualsys.com

A series of "tests" (and suggested fixes) to help tweak IE's settings to help prevent infections when surfing the web.

Follow safe Internet practices:

1. Keep your virus definitions up to date, and scan your system regularly.

2. Don't open email, or download attachments from unrecognized email addresses.

3. Be careful when downloading email attachments, EVEN FROM PEOPLE YOU KNOW! Many virii, worms, and trojans infect a persons system then immeadiately spread themselves to the people in the infected persons addressbook via email attachments.

4. Be careful downloading files from the Internet. Scan all downloaded files with a reliable UP-TO-DATE antivirus program. Scan "zip" files BEFORE unzipping, and scan all unzipped files BEFORE USING THEM.

5. Keep your Windows and IE current with all the latest patches and updates.

:wavey: :wavey: Thank you soo much for your help. This particular machine was a headache as it envoled masses of footwork plus a beginners guide to the internet and safety. IE SpyAd is next to be installed along with a tweak to their user settings. Hope I dont have to come back with this machine but I'm sure I'll see you soon. Many many thanks again.
