I'm sure you guys have dealt with this before, but I'm having a heck of a time getting this thing off my machine! I have never run into anything that I couldn't clean up, but this thing is kicking my butt! Any help would be greatly appreciated as these popups come up faster than I can close them.

Download this tool: http://skads.org/special/rkfiles.zip
Unzip it to your Desktop.
Don't use it yet!

IMPORTANT! Reboot the computer into Safe Mode (tap F8 during bootup, use arrow keys to select Safe Mode, then hit 'enter').

Doubleclick LQfix.bat that you saved on your desktop before.
A doswindow will open and close again, that is normal.

Reboot into normal mode and scan with HijackThis. Post the new log as a reply to this thread.
Thanks for your help! This is what I have after running the rkfiles.bat in safe mode. The only thing that looks funny to me is the elitecxt32.exe file, but I can't find it in the registry.

Here's the latest log after doing as described above. I'm still getting popups and also an error saying that the cfmgr52.dll file could not load.

it took a couple tries to get killbox to delete the elitecxt32.exe file, but i was able to get it to work by checking the "delete on reboot" box. i notice the elitecxt32 is still there on the latest hijack log :rant2: your help is greatly appreciated… this thing is just frustrating! i'm sure it can be beat tho :)
