I have tried everything that I know of to remove this virus. I have smith fraud trojan blue screen and my home page and search pages get redirected to one click search. I have used AVG, spybot, adaware, trojan hunter, cw shedder and microsoft's beta spyware (in reg. mode and safe mode). Each found something different and they now show that I'm not infected but I still have the same problems. I have deleted all of the temp files from my log on, my wifes and admin. to with no sucess. Please help. Below is my hijack log.
Thanks

One quick question. Is there a place where you can get (purchase) a CD with all of the explorer and XP updates. I have a dial up connection and last time I tried to down load the critical updates it was going to take over 24 hours to download since I had not kept up with the updates. Thanks again for all of your help.
Not sure to tell the truth, you could get a cd when the sp2 first came out. Try google and see if can help find something.
Here is the active scan log and a new hijack log. I did not find search maid, virtual made or security I guard and when I went to fix the hijack log item 02 BHO: VMHomepage did not show up. This hijack log was done in regular mode not safe mode.
Thanks again for your help.

Please download
smitRem.zip

Save it to your desktop.
Right click on the file and extract it to its own folder on the desktop.

Open the smitRem folder, then double click the RunThis.bat file to start the tool. Follow the prompts on screen. Your desktop and icons will disappear and then reappear again — this is normal.
Wait for the tool to complete.

Then post a new log please.
Been gone all weekend with a client and just got home (what a way to make a living) and I will be out again until tuesday. I will post a new log then. Thanks again for helping sort out this mess. You've been get help and I really apprecicate it. Thanks
I got back early. I hope this will help. The system is running slow. I think that it might be from all of the anti virus/spyware programs that I have running. Should I get rid of a couple of them? Trojan hunter does not seem to have an uninstall program and add/remove programs does not list it.

Here is the active scan log

Things seem to be good but slow. It may be because I have AVG, spybot, adware and trojan hunter all running. I'd like to get rid of trojan hunter but it does not have an unistall and it is not listed in add and remove programs. The hd is 1/3 full and I was going to run defrag but it said that 99% of the drive was unfragmented. What can I do to help prevent this from happening in the future (I know that I should download and install all of the updates for explorer and XP)? Thanks again for your help in cleaning up my mess!
