To start cleaning up your computer, please download CWShredder
This was written to deal with Coolweb and all its variants.

Unzip and run the program. Let it fix everything it finds, and reboot.

Run Hijack this again, and post a fresh log so we can deal with whatever is left.
Dave thanks for the quick replay. I did do all you requested before I posted . What you see is the results. I read Brokenleg's report and tried that but I am not sure what to delete. I guess I could delete everything……….that hijack lists :weee:
Dave, I ran everything again and deleted some entries that looked lile they needed deleteing…My hijack log is smaller than the below log?? The below log has more entries. I would have deleted the svchost entries but they don't show up in hijack boxes?????

You still have CoolWeb. Make sure you have the latest version (1.47.5). Close all browser windows and hit the 'fix' button. Run Hijack This and check these boxes: O2 - BHO: ShowSearch module - {E2DDF680-9905-4dee-8C64-0A5DE7FE133C} - C:\Documents and Settings\DAD\Application Data\iery\mssearch.dll O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Image] rundll32 C:\WINDOWS\image.dll,Install Reboot and delete: C:\WINDOWS\image.dll C:\Documents and Settings\DAD\Application Data\iery\<–folder Post a fresh log.
That did it…You are a pro. I sure didn't know what to look for. I guess the image.dll kept rewriting everything I deleted and deleted and deleted…
Thanks
Here is the Log anyway:

Prevention might be easier than cure. I suggest you do this to prevent reinfection:

Make sure you have the latest critical updates: http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp

Download and install-
SpywareBlaster will block bad ActiveX and malevolent cookies. Download, run, check for updates, download updates, select all, protect against checked. All done. Check for updates every couple of weeks. If you have any errors running the program like a missing file see the link at the bottom of the javacool page.
http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

And also see: So how did I get infected in the first place?
Glad we could help :D
