Hi Norman, Welcome to TomCoyote forum and sorry for the delay. If you have not received help elsewhere, I will see what I can do. You have some trojan looking items that do not identify along with the foistware. I am going to hit them hard to make sure nothing is hiding.

1) Download CCleaner from this link: http://www.ccleaner.com/ Review the instructions on the download page and please do not run it until I ask you to.

2) Ewido trojan scanner: http://www.ewido.net/en/download/
Please download, install, update and scan your system with the free version of Ewido trojan scanner:
  1. When installing, under "Additional Options" uncheck "Install background guard" and "Install scan via context menu".
  2. When you run ewido for the first time, you will get a warning "Database could not be found!". Click OK. We will fix this in a moment.
  3. From the main ewido screen, click on update in the left menu, then click the Start update button.
  4. After the update finishes (the status bar at the bottom will display "Update successful"), click on the Scanner button in the left menu, then click on the Start button. This scan can take quite a while to run, so time to go get a drink and a snack….
  5. If ewido finds anything, it will pop up a notification. You can select "clean" and check the boxes "Perform action with all infections" and "Create encrypted backup" before clicking on OK.
  6. When the scan finishes, click on "Save Report". This will create a text file. Please then paste the contents of the text file to this thread.

  7. (some items may not exist after the Ewido scan, just don't miss any)

    3) Open Task Manager then the Processes tab. End process on these items if there:
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\insaze.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\inisink.exe

    4) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [os3f3Ej] insaze.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AutoUpdater] "C:\Program Files\AutoUpdate\AutoUpdate.exe"
    PeopleonPage foistware
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [ZBspROH5i] inisink.exe

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

    5) SHOW HIDDEN FILES: Follow the instructions in the link to enable hidden files for your operating system.
You may wish to reverse this process if you have any concern about anyone getting into these hidden system files.
    http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html

RIGHT Click on Start then click on Explore. Locate and delete these items:

    C:\Program Files\AutoUpdate\ >>> folder

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\insaze.exe >>> file

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\inisink.exe >>> file

Locate C:\Windows\Prefetch folder and open it. Delete the contents of the folder (NOT THE FOLDER) if there are many choose Edit then Select all then Delete. You may not be able to remove them all, don't be concerned unless any have the name of the items we need to remove. Here is some information about the Prefetch for you:
    http://techrepublic.com.com/5100-6270-5165773.html
    http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759,1683520,00.asp

    6) Run CCleaner then restart the computer and post a new HJT log along with the results of the Ewido scan in this same thread along with any feedback you have. Let us know how you are running.

    7) We need you some additional spyware protection onboard, I see Spybot, but it is passive unless you have TeaTimer activated. Do not let me turn you loose without giving you information about some good programs to use.

    Thanks…pskelley

    PURGE SYSTEM RESTORE
When you are completely finished with the removal procedure and are satisfied that the threat has been removed follow these instructions:

Did as you said and all seems good so far. Here are my HJT and Ewido log files. Thanks for all the help:)

ewido security suite - Scan report

C:\Documents and Settings\Norm\Cookies\norm@doubleclick[1].txt -> Spyware.Cookie.Doubleclick : Cleaned with backup

::Report End
OK Norman, Looking good  Ewido says you are clean (alright one cookie) you must know how to clear cookies or there would have been many more. The HJT log says you are clean (except for this: O2 - BHO: (no name) - {5C8B2A36-3DB1-42A4-A3CB-D426709BBFEB} - (no file)) and it was not in the first log. We call it an orphan, left over from PCTools Spyware Doctor, not doing any harm, but not doing any good either. You may use HJT to remove it if you wish. Here is some great information from Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler to help you stay clean and safe online:

So what do you say, how is the computer running now. Is the foistware program gone? As I said, I believe you need more protection from this junk, read the links above for expert thoughts, but here is what I suggest.
One well maintained antivirus program and unless my eyes are deceiving me, you have none?? Here are two free ones, I suggest AVG:
http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php
http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

a good firewall, general thought is that the Windows SP2 firewall is good enough for normal operation

These two programs: http://tomcoyote.org/aawsb.php
and these three along with tutorials for using them:
SpywareBlaster
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial49.html
SpywareGuard:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial50.html
IE-Spyad
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial53.html

Most folks think TeaTimer in Spybot will do the job of SpywareGuard, but I prefer SG myself.
