elp with this, thank you
You're using an old version of HijackThis.

Download the latest, 1.99.1, here:

http://radiosplace.com

Unzip it to its own folder.

Please download the trial version of Ewido Security Suite here:
http://www.ewido.net/en/download/
Install it, and update the definitions to the newest files. Do NOT run a scan yet.

Please download Nailfix from here:
http://www.noidea.us/easyfile/file.php?sho…050515010747824
Unzip it to the desktop but please do NOT run it yet.

The above Registry file written by miekiemoes, Swandog and racooper was written specifically for this infection and is not to be used on any other infection as it could damage a person's PC

Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following:
1) Restart your computer
2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
4) Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

For additional help in booting into Safe Mode, see the following site:
http://www.pchell.com/support/safemode.shtml

Once in Safe Mode, please double-click on Nailfix.cmd. Your desktop and icons will disappear and reappear, and a window should open and close very quickly — this is normal.

Then please run Ewido, and run a full scan. Save the log from the scan to your Desktop. IMPORTANT! Lately more people choose “Ignore” during the scan, but you’ll have to click/choose “Clean” or “Quarantine”! Otherwise the whole fix will result in a failure.

Then please run HijackThis, click Scan, and check (if there):

F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe C:\WINDOWS\Nail.exe

Close all open windows except for HijackThis and click Fix Checked.

Restart your computer in normal mode, make a new HijackThis log and post it here, as well as the log from the Ewido scan.

If running Windows XP Pro: run this tool http://homepage.ntlworld.com/spencer.greys…/XPProfiles.exe

If running Windows XP Home: run this tool http://homepage.ntlworld.com/spencer.greys…XPHomeFiles.exe

(Running the tool is just extracting the files to the already specified location and closing the tool)

Reboot.

Download the FindQoologic-Narrator.zip and save it to your Desktop.
http://forums.net-integration.net/index.ph…=post&id=134981

The above files written by O_E were written specifically for this infection and is not to be used on any other infection as it could damage a person's PC

1. Extract (unzip) the files inside into their own folder called FindQoologic.
2. Open the FindQoologic folder.
3. Locate and double-click the Find-Qoologic2.bat to run it.

* The tool will open a DOS window and begin to check your system.
When it is finished a text file will open in Notepad called "file.txt".
* Save this text file in the FindQoologic folder.
* Close the DOS box If on win 98 or me.

4. Open the file you saved and copy / paste its content to this thread (as a reply).

Download Killbox.
Click killbox.exe.
Select the option "Delete on reboot".

Now copy the next bold:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\GVQPU.DAT
C:\WINDOWS\System32\LMKRAU.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\System32\XOCBAQX.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\System32\REDIT.CPL

Open 'file' in the killboxmenu on top and choose Paste from clipboard

Now you will see, this is pasted in the "Full Path of File to Delete"-field.
There's a little arrow (dropdown-arrow) next to that field.
If you expand it, these lines must be there together!

Then press the button that looks like a red circle with a white X in it.
Killbox will tell you that all listed files will be deleted on next reboot.. Click YES
When it asks if you would like to Reboot now, click YES
If you get a "PendingFileRenameOperations Registry Data has been Removed by External Process!" message then just restart manually.

Your system must reboot now.

The first thing we are going to do is download some tools and then gather some information.

Make a folder on your desktop, name it "MalwareTools" and put all of the files you are instructed to download into that folder. This makes the tools easy to find, keeps your desktop neater and when the fix is done and your no longer need the tools you can just delete that folder.
  • Update ewido to the latest definition files.
    • On the left hand side of the main screen click update.
    • Then click on Start Update.
    • When the update finishes shut down Ewido, we are not going to scan with it yet.
    • If you are having problems with the updater, you can use ewido manual updates
  • Download CleanUp
    • Install the program, don't run it yet, we will later.
  • Download this file: Nailfix Utility
    • Save it to MalwareTools.
      DO NOT run it yet.
I know you already have a copy, delete it and download a fresh one.
  • Download dsrfix.zip
  • Save it to MalwareTools.
    • Unzip dsrfix.zip and extract it to MalwareTools.
    • This will create a new folder in MalwareTools named dsrfix.
    • Do Not open that folder yet.
  • Download APT
    • unzip the contents to a new folder called APT that you create inside MalwareTools.
Do not run the tool yet
  • Download FindIt's.zip to MalwareTools
    • Create a new folder called FindIt inside MalwareTools
    • Unzip/extract the files into the FindIt folder you just created.
  • Click here to download Killbox by Option^Explicit.
    • Extract it from the zip file to the MalwareTools folder.
I know you already have a copy. Delete it and download a fresh one.
  • Download FindQoologic-Narrator.zip save it to your MalwareTools.
    • Extract (unzip) the files inside into their own folder inside MalwareTools called FindQoologic.
Now we will start the scans to gather the information we need.
Once you start the scans DO NOT reboot your computer until you receive instructions to do so. The names of the files change at every reboot.
I suggest you do the scan at about 3:00 pm EST (8:00 pm GMT). I will be back around at about that time.
  • Make a new folder inside MalwareTools called ToPost
  • Open the FindQoologic folder.
    • Locate and double-click the Find-Qoologic.bat file to run it.
    • When a text file opens, click File > Save As name it QLogic.txtand save it inside the ToPost folder.
  • Open the FindIt folder
    • Double click FindIt's.bat and wait for notepad to open a text file. This will take awhile.
    • Save the file in the ToPost folder as FindIt.txt
  • Run RootKitRevealer
    • click the scan button and wait for the scan to finish.
    • Click File > Save and save the file to ToPost, name it RKScan.txt
  • Scan with hijackThis and save the log file as HJT.txt in the ToPost folder.
Post the contents of the files in the ToPost folder as a reply to this thread except for RKScan.txt.
Zip RKScan.txt into a zip folder and use the file attachment feature to attach it to your reply.
Don't forget to click"Add this attachment" or it will not work.

i must of missed rootkitreveler sorry. need more instructions thanks

Thats ok, we'll go with what we have right now. I'm working on a response, I keep getting called away with home duties. Hang tight, I'll get it put up ASAP.
The following steps must be done in exact order, don't skip any steps and don't jump ahead of the process or the fix will most likely fail

Download CWShredder. Don't run it yet.

Show hidden files/folders
It looks like you have alredy done these step but double check to make sure it is still set up properly
  • Go to Start>control panel > folder options>view tab
  • Check mark "display the contents of system folders"
  • Select "Show hidden files and folders"
  • Uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types"
  • Uncheck "Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)
  • Click the [ok] button.
Step 1
  • Open the MalwareTools\APT folder and double click apt.exe
  • Go to Start > Run and type explorer in the box then click Ok
  • In the explorer window you just opened navigate to c:\windows\system32 and highlight LCUBZPN.EXE by single clicking it. Do not double click it.
  • Look back in the apt window and find C:\WINDOWS\System32\LCUBZPN.EXE and highlight it.
  • Click the Kill 3 button and then very quickly click once on the LCUBZPN.EXE file you highlighted in the explorer window then quickly press your delete key one time.
  • Close apt
Print the rest of these instructions. You will not have them available once you boot into safe mode. I recommend you also copy/paste the files to be deleted into a text document so you can copy/paste them into the killbox during that step

After you have printed the instructions then boot into safe mode by rebooting your computer and then holding down the key until you get a menu with "Safe Mode" as one of the choices. Use your arrow keys to highlight "Safe Mode" and then press your key. Make sure you choose the plain safe mode option, we don't want networking or command prompt.

Step 2
  • Open MalwareTools and double-click on nailfix.exe.
  • Click "Next" in the setup
  • Make sure "Run Nailfix" is checked and click "Finish".
  • Your desktop and icons will disappear and reappear, and a window should open and close very quickly — this is normal.
Step 3
  • open ewido and do a scan of your system.
  • Click on scanner
  • Click on Complete System Scan and the scan will begin.
  • You will be prompted to clean the first infection.
  • Select "Perform action on all infections", then proceed.
  • Once the scan has completed, there will be a button located on the bottom of the screen named Save report
  • Click Save report.
  • Save the report .txt file to your desktop or a location where you can find it easily.
Step 4
  • open the MalwareTools\dsrfix folder
  • Double-Click on dsrfix.bat
  • A window will pop up briefly then close, this is normal.
Step 5
Open an explorer window by going to Start > Run and typing explorer in the box and clicking ok.Navigate to each of the following files/folders and delete them, if found. If you don't find one or more of them, don't worry as the steps above probably removed them.
Folders
C:\WINDOWS\RGF2aWQA << Folder
C:\WINDOWS\etb
C:\Program Files\rdso

Files
c:\windows\system32\lcubzpn.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\qoajnl.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\w32fxperf.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\j?vaw.exe
C:\WINDOWS\MRNKCY~1.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\RU.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\SVCPROC.EXE

Any of the above files or folders that gave an error and would not allow deletion need to be added to the Step 5 procedure

Step 6
  • Navigate to MalwareTools\Killbox and run killbox.exe
  • For each file to be deleted select "Replace on reboot" and check mark "Use dummy"
  • For each folder to be deleted select "Delete on reboot"
  • You need to select the options every time you put in a file or folder
  • After the above two steps are done for a file or folder then press the red circle with a white x in it
  • Repeat all of the above steps for each file/folder
  • Start with the files/folders from the list above that would not allow deletion. Paste their paths into the killbox "Full path of file to delete" field.
  • Now add the following files.Make sure you get every oneC:\WINDOWS\System32\ALFDSWA.DLL
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\CONRES.CPL
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\DATADX.DLL
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\COLORS~1.SCR
    C:\WINDOWS\DSR.EXE
    C:\WINDOWS\KEY2.TXT
    C:\WINDOWS\MRNKCY~1.EXE
    C:\WINDOWS\RU.EXE
    C:\WINDOWS\SVCPROC.EXE
    C:\docume~1\alluse~1\startm~1\programs\startup\UTDN.EXE
Step 7
Now it is time to run CleanUp, the program you installed when you were gathering all the other tools.

*IMPORTANT NOTE*
CleanUp deletes EVERYTHING out of your temp/temporary folders, it does not make backups. If you have any documents or programs that are saved in any Temporary Folders, please make a backup of these before running CleanUp

Running CleanUp
  • Start CleanUp by double-clicking the icon on your desktop (or from the Start > All Programs menu).
  • When CleanUp starts go to the Options button (right side of CleanUp screen)
  • Move the arrow down to "Custom CleanUp!"
  • Now place a checkmark next to the following (Make sure nothing else is checked!):
    • Delete Cookies
This is optional, if you leave the box checked it will remove all of your cookies, at this point removing cookies is a good idea
    • Empty Recycle Bins
    • Delete Prefetch files
    • Cleanup! All Users
  • Click OK
  • Then click on the CleanUp button. This will take a short while, let it do its thing.
  • When asked to reboot system select No
  • Close CleanUp
Step 8
Close all other windows then run HijackThis.

Place a check mark in HijackThis next to each of the following (some may be gone as a result of the above steps). When you have them all check marked click "fix checked" and then close HijackThis.
