Please review my log.

I have been having problems lately with my computer. It will freeze up and the only way to get it to work is to completely turn off the computer and restart it. Even Ctrl-Alt-Del will not work.

Please Help..

I have run clean up and restarted myn computer, so far it seems to be working fine. Except for one thing. I am not able to us my dv+rw. I put a blank disk in the drive and it gives me an error, Not accessable, Incorrect function. I have tried even uninstalling it and it sitll will not work It seem to work fine before.

Have you tried updating or re-installing the drivers for your CD Rom drive?
Will it play a music CD?

181346

Yes, I have reinstalled the drivers, updated the firmware, tried uninstall, and then reinstalled.

It will read a disk that has something on it, but it does not recognize blank disks at all. It's driving me crazy.
I'm no CD pro. Have you used these blank CD's before? I know there are -R's and +R's. Are you using the same ones that worked before?

The only thing I see left in your log is P2P Networking, but that's up to you wether or not to remove it.

Good Job

Log looks good :D

Note: This will remove all previous Restore Points

Turn off System Restore:

On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Restart your computer, turn it back on.

On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Remove the Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Click Start> My Computer, select the Tools menu and then Folder Options, after the new window appears select the View tab…]
This time select the: Restore Defaults
Select: Apply, and click OK

If you dont have these three programs I would recommend that you get them. Spywareblaster, Spywareguard and IESPY AD. They will add 1000's of sites to your resticted zone and block some hijacks from happening. I also have a FREE FIREWALL and FREE ANTI VIRUS if you need one.

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system.

Keep your system up to date and run Adaware & Spybot, once a week works, and hopefully you will be ok from here on. Both are available below.

Safe Surfing. :D
