Sorry if I wasnt more specific with problem. My computer is a p4 1.4ghz, with 256 ram, I use localnet ISP that has a localnet EXPRESS program that renders the graphics viewed on each page smaller so the page loads quicker. Recently I had a roommate that viewed alot of porn on my computer and thats when this happened. I use to connect at 52-54kps on a 56k modem, now im down to 44kps, also, programs take forever to load, as well as startup. Please help me, although ive since knocked my former roomout OUT! I still have these problems…THANKS I appreciate this so much

Thanks.

That HijackThi slog is fairly clean. The only issue I see in ot is you are using DownloadAccleratorPlus,

You are using Download Accelerator Plus (DAP) which is not technically malware, but it may include malware and allow it into your system. And, according to Symantec ( http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcen…adware.dap.html )

Adware.DAP … Installs a toolbar and browser helper object into the browser (Internet Explorer only) that tracks visited sites, downloads, search queries, as well as personal information submitted into the forms on the Download Accelerator Plus application.

You can find safer alternatives here: This article at the Spybot site compares download managers..

Once you have downloaded a replacement for Download Accelerator Plus, remove it via 'Start > Add/Remove Programs'

Also, I'll recommend running a few automated malware scanner/cleaners, just to be sure there is nothing lurking about that HJT cannot see.

1 – After checking yourself against the following instructions, run AdAware and Spybot Search and Destroy:

Please see How to use Ad-Aware to remove Spyware for instructions on how to download, install and then use this software.

Please see How to use Spybot to remove Spyware for instructions on how to download, install and then use this software, which may catch things that Ad-Aware misses.

If the above finds things to clean, please re-run them to be sure the infections are gone. If not, please tell me what could not be cleared out.

2 – Now, reboot normally and run at least two of these online virus scans (Or more if you wish.), reboot after each scan:

Bitdefender<<
RAV<<
eTrust<<<'Cure' whatever is found, then delete if unsuccessful

Housecall<<
Panda ActiveScan<<
If the above find things to clean, please re-run them to be sure the infections are gone. If not, please tell me what could not be cleared out.

Please let me know the results in a reply to this message.

Thanks
daveai
THANK YOU SO MUCH TOMCOYOTE TEAM!!!!! The first hijackthis log that I posted about a month ago had 3 or 4 other things on it, that I removed before posting the most recent log. My brother who does the same thing you helped me with for a living told me to uncheck them, so I did, and so very little improvement. However, because of my brothers unavaliablity I didnt get a chance to follow up on the spybot and adaware programs (like how to use them). then I got a email from you telling me what to do…and I got to tell you…Ive had this computer for 3 years now, and I had 382 infected spyware files running!!!!! Although HIjackthis didnt find them, it did lead me to you, and I thank you most sincerely from the bottom of my heart. THANKS SO MUCH!!!! :weee: :weee:
Hello again, thanks for the help! I would like to note, that I ran ad-aware twice, removing 43 more malware while in safe mode and doing a deep system scan then the previous post. Also, I had 8 virus's that bitDefender removed for me. Thanks again, here is the final HiJackThis post
