Hi tgreagin! I'm 'KotaGuy. Welcome to Tomcoyote!

Your log isn't too bad… a few entries to clean up. I think your problems stems more from you having 2 Anti Virus programs active(AVG and Norton), as well as 2 Firewalls active(ZoneAlarm and Norton).

You should have only 1 active Firewall and AntiVirus program running. Personally, I would get rid of the Norton stuff and keep AVG and ZoneAlarm. Choice is yours though.

Lets clean up the log.

Run and scan with HijackThis. With all other browsers and windows closed, place a check beside the following and Fix:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {549B5CA7-4A86-11D7-A4DF-000874180BB3} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {FDD3B846-8D59-4ffb-8758-209B6AD74ACC} - (no file)
O16 - DPF: {DBA230D1-8467-4e69-987E-5FAE815A3B45} -

You can, if you wish, fix the other 016's as they will reinstall if needed.

Reboot Windows and post a new HijackThis log please.
Thanks for reply…

fixed above items rebooted and reran hijackthis. Log follows

Other than that your log looks good. It's CLEAN!!

I still suspect your problems are coming from the fact you have 2 AV programs and 2 Firewalls active. You need to rememdy that situation and use only one of each. Having two active AntiVirus monitors can cause conflicts and will slow a computer down. Using two Firewalls will do that as well.

So my suggestions would be to disable one AV program and one Firewall.

If you don't have Ad-Aware to go along side Spybot, you should install it as well. Visit this page for proper configuration of Ad-Aware and Spybot. Run and scan with both, letting them fix whatever they find. Remember to reboot between each scan.

Now that it is clean, you should reset your System Restore point. This will ensure a nice clean backup to fall upon if you ever need it. To do this:

1. Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
2. Click the System Restore tab.
3. Check the "Turn off System Restore" or "Turn off System Restore on all drives"

Reboot your computer, follow the steps above, this time unchecking the "Turn off System Restore" and reboot.

Along with Ad-Aware and Spybot, you might also want to look into installing SpywareBlaster, SpywareGuard, and IE-SPYAD. You can grab them from the links in my sig. The programs are free and can be updated, so please remember to do so. Installing these will go a long way in preventing reinfection.

Check out the links in my sig named How'd I get Infected and Understanding Spyware as well, some good information for you :)

Other than that, remember to update Windows frequently, update your protection programs, scan often and…

Thanks– www.finazzle.com is my brother-in-laws retail online site. We will leave it as home page. That is what that line does. I thought I had disabled Norton AV and Firewall. Do I have to uninstall them to get them to stop loading? I really appreciate the help. Yours Tom
Mentioned it again because there are still some Norton(Symantec) products active… namely SymWSC.exe which I believe controls the Firewall. It does look like the resident AV scanner is shut down, so that is good. Just wanted to be sure you had disabled things. :) If you don't plan on using any of the Norton products anymore, I would probably just uninstall them. That way you don't have any of the leftover processes taking up resources.
