Hi Izzybear, Welcome to TomCoyote Forum, Sorry to keep you waiting, we are extremely busy. If you still need help please follow these directions in the order they are posted:

1) You are running HijackThis from a Temp folder and we MUST have a permanent folder for HJT to store HJT.exe, logs and backups for safety. Use this information to correct this:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial94.html

2) Use the information in this link to download and run the EliteToolbar Remover, follow the directions exactually is you best chance of success.
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/Popu…r-Remover.shtml

3) Download CCleaner from this link: http://www.ccleaner.com/ Take the time to review the instructions on the download page so that when I ask you to run it you will know what you are doing.

4) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/…//www.yahoo.com
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/…//www.yahoo.com
R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - _{CA0E28FA-1AFD-4C21-A8DC-70EB5BE2F076} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {ED103D9F-3070-4580-AB1E-E5C179C1AE41} - (no file)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [checkrun] C:\windows\system32\elitecig32.exe

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

SHOW HIDDEN FILES: Follow the instructions in the link to enable hidden files for your operating system.
You may wish to reverse this process if you have any concern about anyone getting into these hidden system files.
http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html

RIGHT Click on Start then click on Explore. Locate and delete these items:

C:\windows\system32\elitecig32.exe >>> file (may not be there but check closely)

Let's check for trojans in case any are hiding, run this free online scan, scan the whole system and set it to clean or fix anything it locates. Let me know what it finds and the exact name and location of anything it locates but can't remove. You may be asked to install an ActiveX, please do so as this program is safe and it can not run without it.
http://www.windowsecurity.com/trojanscan/

Run CCleaner then restart the computer and post a new log in this same thread along with any feedback you have. Let us know how you are running.

Thanks…pskelley

PURGE SYSTEM RESTORE
When you are completely finished with the removal procedure and are satisfied that the threat has been removed follow these instruction:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgen…src=sec_doc_nam
Thanks for the help. I have noticed that My Computer and some other folders open faster. When i was told to delete like 5 files after I ran HJT, I could only find 3 of them on the HJT list. Everything got deleted when I ran all the cleaners so thats good I assume. Here is my new HJT Log.

Good job Sir  You are clean!!! Run your maintenance tools: http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documen…mb_tol_vvcu.asp Use Google to search the .exe's in the 04/Run items to see which can be turned off in: http://netsquirrel.com/msconfig/ Then read what these folks have to say, here is some great information from Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler to help you stay clean and safe online:
http://forums.net-integration.net/index.php?showtopic=3051
http://russelltexas.com/malware/allclear.htm
http://forum.malwareremoval.com/viewtopic.php?t=14
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topict2520.html

And you should be good to go. The items that were gone when your got to the HJT part of the removal were indeed removed by the tool you ran. Sometimes the tool will remove the software and leave the line entry so I always cover it twice. I prefer to take to much bad stuff than not enough. Safe surfing
