Hello jerrypop and welcome to TomCoyote. :wavey:

Not much bad in the log. Just some basic cleanup.

Step 1
You have Winpatrol running on your machine and that is good. But prior to doing the fix below with hijackthis it needs to be turned off.
Please right click the running icon of winpatrol, and choose exit.

Step 2
Open HijackThis, run a scan, then check the following:

With all other programs and browsers closed, click fix checked.

Step 3
Reboot normally and scan with HijackThis. Post the new log as a reply to this thread.
Please let us know of any complications you had and how the computer is behaving.

Your new log is clean. :)

I suggest that you get these programs to help keep the computer clean:

Spyware Blaster - Blocks bad ActiveX items from installing on your computer. Spyware Blaster runs silently in the background.
SpywareGuard - Real-time protection from spyware installation attempts
ie-spyad - Puts over 8,000 bad URLs into your restricted sites for Internet Explorer.
Google Toolbar - Blocks many unwanted pop-ups in Internet Explorer.
Firefox - 'Safer' alternative to the Internet Explorer web browser.

Here are three very good and free malware scanners:

Spybot Search and Destroy 1.3
AdAware SE v1.05
Set-up Instructions for Spybot S&D; and Adaware SE
A2 Squared

If you have them already, check to make sure that they are the newest version.

ZoneAlarm - Free firewall program if you currently are not using one.

Update these regularly.

You may also want to read "How did I get infected in the first place" to learn how to better secure your computer.

Be sure to keep Windows and your Anti-virus updated.
alsocom, Thanks for your advise on my computer being clean. I do have SpywareBlaster installed on my computer as well as Win Patrol, Aluria Spyware Eliminator, AVG Professional, I do not care for Spy Bot Search & Destroy or Ad-Aware. I'm using Windows Firewall along with the hardware router firewall. I use IE 6.0 Pop-Up Blocker. I do appreciate you and alan taking the time to view my log! jerrypop
