Hello Christy, Welcome to TomCoyote forum. I apologize for the wait, we are very busy. I do see a good bit of nasty stuff in your log. Much can change in five days, if you have not resolved your issues and still need help, please post a fresh log and I will be notified as soon as you post. Well my computer is slowing down. It has a habit of freezing up. I will close my browsers but the computer will freeze. I have to ctrl-alt-delete and force shut down my now not responding browsers. My home page will change. I know have messenger plus. Someone was nice to download it for me. It took me a while to remove the changes. I guess I did not get them all. Thanks for the help

Hi Christy, :( I am so sorry we have gotten off to such a bad start. Now it appears the notification system that is supposed to notify me when you post has failed to do so. I found that you had posted when I was looking over logs that are pending. In case your computer still has issues, I am going to proceed with your log and instructions. If you still need help, please do this.

1) This will remove the LOP toolbar that is installed with the sponser when you downloaded MessengerPlus (nothing to do with Microsoft or MSNIM)

Hi Christy, Happens to me too…:( that's why I check to make sure before I close. Why don't you do this. Go to the top of this thread and click on "Track this topic", Then scroll down a little and choose Immediate Email Notification, then click Proceed at the bottom. Maybe that will work? You still might want to click on the link and check… :P I did, that's how I knew you had not responded and thought to check with you. Why don't you do this, if you do not mind. Hi Christy,

I could not find Draw bone or TSA any were on my computer.

This is no problem, I sometimes overkill in my zeal to clear the trash from your computer and your newest logfile is clean of malware :thumbup: How is the computer running, was the trojan hunter able to locate and remove any hidden trojans. As good as HJT is, the malware writers use all of their tricks to keep you from being able to see their garbage with HJT.

Now I would just like to touch on a few subjects for you to think about.

1) C:\Program Files\MessengerPlus! 3\MsgPlus.exe. Now you know that this software can be installed without installing advertising sponsors like the LOP toolbar. I just want to make sure you were able to clean all of the LOP and none of the adware that comes with it is still on your computer. If you are safe now and you intend to use this software, I thought I would mention that there is a new version just released, but be careful if your download, read everything… :P http://www.msgplus.net/

2) This software that is installed by aol without your knowledge:
C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Manager\ViewMgr.exe

If you do not use it and would like to remove it, use Add/Remove programs to uninstall.

3) You have somehow managed to get two HJT.exe's installed, look at the log just before the R1 and R0 numbers. So you won't have a problem if you need to use HJT again, follow the path to them and delete one of them.

4) This line: O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {40D41A8B-D79B-43d7-99A7-9EE0F344C385} - (no file) is left from a toolbar. It is just clutter and you may use HJT to remove it if you wish.

I found one trojan that I removed. The biggest change I see is how long it takes for my computer to start up. Its running much faster. Thanks for all the help Phil :wavey:

Hi Christy, Since we had so many problem that were not caused by us, I am just going to give you a little more time concerning the slow startup. If you have questions please post them and I will see what I can answer. First, you do have quite a few programs that start each time you boot up your computer that you probably do not use and could use Start/All Programs to start them when you need them. I am going to list them and put a link under them to information showing they can be turned off at Startup. I also wish to mention that you have a lot of 016 lines which are Downloaded Program Files. Make sure you look only at 016 items. You may use HJT to remove any you no longer use or do not know what is. Will not effect startup but will get rid of some clutter. If you make a mistake the item would be put back if you visit the site again.

Now, as you look back up through all of the stuff that starts when you turn on your computer you have a better idea why the Startup is slow…lol. I suggest you start what the computer needs to run, your security programs and what you need and leave the rest off until you need the program.
