Hello!

After many attempts at deleting stuff on regedit (I know, pretty dangerous stuff if you have not much of a clue!!) (now it won't even allow me to open regedit unless on safe mode) I think I have given up…. my PC is not behaving very well at all.

msdirectx.sys seems to ALWAYS pop up when I look on c: drive, and even if i delete it, it comes back up.

I would appreciate it greatly if someone could have a little look at my log….. thank you in advance : )

oh! PS:!!
''notes.exe'' pops up often as one of the starup items, i removed one from this log but i suspect the host is still there… somewhere…. lurking…..

Please download and install this disk cleanup utility called Cleanup! Don't run it yet.

It will get rid of any malware which may be hiding in your temp folders.
You will also regain a massive amount of disk space.

Close all Browser and Program Windows and have HijackThis fix the following.
Do this by checking the box beside each and then clicking on Fix checked.

Reboot in safe mode.
Then click start>my computer>local disk
(then follow the path) or Using Windows Explorer, locate the following files/folders, and delete them:
Delete the following file(s) listed.

MSAOL32.exe
csrs.exe
winhost.exe

Run Cleanup
Reboot Go here and run online scans, allow them to delete whatever they find:

TrendMicro HouseCall
eTrust AntiVirus Web Scanner

Note any thing that can't be fixed
Reboot when done. Rescan with HJT and post a new log here.

Also please describe how your computer behaves now.
