hi

Download the trial version of TDS-3 anti trojan from here:
http://www.diamondcs.com.au/tds/downloads/tds3setup.exe
Install it, but do not launch it yet

Update it: right click the link below, select "save as"
http://www.diamondcs.com.au/tds/radius.td3

Save it to the directory where you installed TDS-3, overwriting the previous radius.td3 if prompted.

Then launch tds-3. In the top bar of TDS window click System Testing> Full System Scan.
Detections will appear in the lower pane of TDS window. After the scan is finished ( it'll take a while ) right click the list> select save as text. Save it and post the contents of the scandump.txt here

After posting the scanlog go ahead and right click the list again, this time select delete! Delete everything labelled positive identification

NOTE: There just might be some files detected as riskware; those are normally just legitimate files, but with some infections, they could be used maliciously. Do not delete those without consultation!

hi
what is going on? well you're hacked
they have a backdoor and an ftp server running on your comp.

to explain it a bit more: you see from the list of tds detection that the hackers have used legitimate tools maliciously to establish teh backdoor connection, tools like firedaemon, remote administrator etc.. because as the files are legitimate files, so your av isnt gonna get them
thats why the special tool tds-3

so lets get rid of it for good, right :D

enable showing of system and hidden files:

* Click Start.
* Open My Computer.
* Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
* Select the View Tab.
* Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
* Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
* Click Yes to confirm.
* Click OK.

Run HijackThis!, press Do A system Scan Only, and put a check mark next to all these:

O23 - Service: Remote Administrator Service (r_server) - Unknown owner - c:\winnt\shellnew\bin\drivers\input\ra\nvsvc.exe" /service (file missing)

O23 - Service: FireDaemon Service: srvmon (srvmon) - Unknown owner - c:\winnt\shellnew\bin\drivers\input\data\FireDaemon.EXE

Close all other windows and browsers, and press the Fix Checked button.

Reboot into SafeMode by tapping F8 key repeatedly at bootup: Starting your computer in Safe mode

once in safe mode
open a command prompt
click start > run > typecmd and hit enter

into the command prompt window type sc delete srvmon
and hit enter

then type in sc delete r_server
and hit enter

again type sc delete rundll
and press enter

finally type:
sc delete lock

and again press enter

create a new folder on your desktop, call it submits
locate this file
c:\winnt\shellnew\bin\drivers\input\data\srvmon.exe
once found, use windows explorer to move this file into the submits folder on your desktop

rescan with tds, this time delete those riskware detections too

reboot back to normal mode and post a fresh hiajckthis log

hmm what else is inside the folder c:\winnt?
whats its size etc

once you're back in normal mode go to this site:
http://www.thespykiller.co.uk/forum/index.php?board=1.0
start a new topic there, call it uploads for illukka
post a message containing the link to this thread here and attach/ upload the submits folder to your post there
there is no need to register if you like :D

by the way these look like legitimate files :

Suspicious Filename: Dual extensions
File: c:\documents and settings\shanghai\my documents\my setup files\abc-win32-v2.6.9.exe

Suspicious Filename: Dual extensions
File: c:\documents and settings\shanghai\my documents\my setup files\alcohol-1.9.2\alcohol-120-1.9.2.exe

you can leave them :D
Thanks

3)what does the backdoor and ftp server do to my computer, and does it affect internet speed?

thanks alot, gonna donate asap
hi the files do not seem to be active anymore so that part of the fix worked :D to your questions: 1) looks ok, are your firewall and anti-virus running correctly? 2) hold back a little before deleting that folder, first we must assure that deleting it still leaves a functional computer.. 3) having this kind of infection does affec the internet speed.. a lot to be exact !! seems to me that over 12 gigs of unknown data there, which is available to everyone that know the ftp server password. reding your fist post i'd say that there was a very popular download spot..looks like it almost stole all of your bandwidth i'm willing to assume that the backdoors were kept ther just to remotely administrate that ftp server what kinds of files there are? usually those are zips, doesnt make a difference, i'm just curious ;) i suppose that its either warez of movies/music what i need you to do is to browse through the folders there and move all files with the following extensions ( bat reg ini dll exe) to a new folder on your desktop then zip theat new folder and tell me its size so we can decide how to transfer it did you do a new scan with tds, deleting the infected files?
hey, thanks. My norton was down, now its back up btw, Norton works right?? and the ZIp is about 413 MB, if i done wat u said correctly.
hi

post a fresh hijackthis log, also
can you generate a startup list using HJT. And please check the 2 boxes below the 'Startup' button:
List also minor sections (full)
List empty sections (complete)

i'm little worried about you firewall though, unless you have a firewall running it is easy for them to hack it again

also i suggest changing your passwords
