When I started up the computer with the internet connection there was a spygarud warning saying my search page was being change. Also AVG resident shield says virus detected:

While Opening File: C:\Windows\System32\sqlneee.dll
Trojan horse backdoor.agent.BA
Click on this link http://www.downloads.subratam.org/KillBox.zip to download Pocket Killbox by Option^Explicit. Extract it from the zip file then double-click on Killbox.exe to run it.
In the 'Paste Full Path of File to Delete' box, copy and paste this entry:
C:\Windows\System32\sqlneee.dll

Check the option for "Delete on Reboot". Click the button with the red circle with a white X in it. Click 'yes'. When asked to reboot choose 'yes'.
If you get a "PendingFileRenameOperations Registry Data has been Removed by External Process!" message then just restart manually.

Post a new Hijackthis log. Let me know if AVG still finds a Trojan.

Thanks again.
Open Pocket Killbox. Click File < Open !Submit. This will open a folder with the file you just deleted.
Right click on the file and choose send to < Compressed (zipped) Folder. Please email the zipped folder to here so it can be examined and sent to the proper people. Be sure to include a link to this thread in the email. You may now delete the !Submit folder.

Your log is looking good still. :)

Let us know if you are having any more problems.
There was no file in the Open Submit. I think it was because I didn't extract the program after I unzipped it. Should I do it again?
Your welcome. Glad to hear the computer is working better again. :)

Now that it appears to be fixed Reset and Re-enable your System Restore to remove bad files that have been backed up by Windows. The files in System Restore are protected to prevent any programs changing those files. This is the only way to clean these files: (You will lose all previous restore points which are likely to be infected.)

1. Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
2. On the System Restore tab, put a check mark in the 'Turn Off System Restore' check box.
3. Click OK twice, and then click Yes when you are prompted to restart the computer.
4. Repeat steps 1 - 2, this time clearing the box beside 'Turn Off System Restore'

I will leave this thread for a few more days to make sure the problem does not come back.
Hmmmmm seems like avg says the same thing: While Opening File: C:\Windows\System32\sqlneee.dll Trojan horse backdoor.agent.BA I tried the killbox again but it still avg still popped up.
Please download SilentRunners from here:
http://www.silentrunners.org/Silent%20Runners.zip
Unzip it to the desktop and double-click on it. If you get any kind of warning message about scripts, please choose to allow the script to run. When the scan is finished, it will create a logfile on the desktop. Please post the entire contents of this logfile for me to see.

Also post a new log from dllcompare and Hijackthis.
dll compare log:
* DLLCompare Log version(1.0.0.127)
Files Found that Windows does not See or cannot Access
*Not everything listed here means you are infected!

I am off to bed now as it is past 3:00 AM here. I'll check this later today.

Launch Notepad, and copy/paste the box below into a new text file. Save it as FindFile.bat and save it on your Desktop.

dir C:\Windows\System32\sqlneee.dll /a h > files.txt
notepad files.txt

Locate FindFile.bat on your Desktop and double-click on it. It will open Notepad with some text in it. Please post the text here.

Are you having any other issues with the computer besides the AVG warning?
Here is the file output: Volume in drive C has no label. Volume Serial Number is 78EC-98C7 Directory of C:\Windows\System32 01/06/2005 11:16 PM 57,344 sqlneee.dll Directory of C:\Windows\System32 1 File(s) 57,344 bytes 0 Dir(s) 44,943,966,208 bytes free So far this is the only problem I am having. :D
We'll try these instructions again. Be sure to follow them exactly. Let me know if AVG is still finding this file after reboot.

I've downloaded the killbox again, but after i follow the directions and reboot. It says submit not created until file is deleted. Is it not deleting the file properly?
