You are certain this line is for DESKTOP SPY? It shows at Symantec as "Spyware.AppsTraka". (Spyware.AppsTraka monitors user activity, logs keystrokes, and takes screenshots.)
As long as this is the correct entry and you installed it you can leave it. Please let me know.

Hi Alan

Thanks again for your time and helping me.

Yes I did install Remote Desktop Spy a few months back , I kept the folder named (RDS) in my C drive so it would not stand out if the kids got in there. Its a pretty good program so I can keep an eye on my Three Girls online, I view there keystrokes and Screenshots and websites every once in a while.

Here's my new log thanks again the computer has no problems now I even went in and used Music Match Plus.

Thank you for following up on this question. The databases that we use when researching the logs have this listed as bad so I'll let them know that it is a legitimate program. The reasoning for the bad status would be that if someone else installed this program without you knowing it, they would be able to monitor everything that you do including banking, credit card information, passwords, etc. As long as you knowing installed it, this is not an issue. We'll need to alert the user about this from now on and see if they installed it themselves.

The rest of the log is clean. :)

Now that everything is fixed, I suggest that you get these programs to help keep the computer clean:

Spyware Blaster - Blocks bad ActiveX items from installing on your computer. Spyware Blaster runs silently in the background.
SpywareGuard - Real-time protection from spyware installation attempts
ie-spyad - Puts over 8,000 bad URLs into your restricted sites for Internet Explorer.
Google Toolbar - Blocks many unwanted pop-ups in Internet Explorer.
Firefox - Safer alternative to the Internet Explorer web browser.

Here are three very good and free malware scanners:

Spybot Search and Destroy 1.3
AdAware SE v1.05
Set-up Instructions for Spybot S&D; and Adaware SE
A2 Squared

If you have them already, check to make sure that they are the newest version.

ZoneAlarm - Free firewall program if you currently are not using one.

Update these regularly.

You may also want to read "How did I get infected in the first place" to learn how to better secure your computer.

Be sure to keep Windows and your Anti-virus updated.
