Hi!

I'm having trouble with my computer. I think there's some kind of virus, that Spybot can't find and I am also having trouble with AZESEARCH. Could someone please check my log ang help me?

You have the latest version of VX2. Download L2mfix from one of these two locations:

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

When I doubleclick on the l2mfix.bat file a dos-window appear, but then it goes away again before I have the time to do anything!

OK lets start with this and go from there.

Please download and run CWShredder. Make sure that all browser windows are closed with the exception of Cwshredder and choose FIX.

Hi!

I had some trouble with CwShredder. It made my computer extremly slow and nothing happend.
Then I did the scannings in Spybot, Ad-aware and Panda and here is the new log.

Please download hoster from the link below.

Open Hoster.exe.

Then click on "Restore Original Hosts"

Close program when complete.

NEXT

You have the latest version of VX2. Download L2mfix from one of these two locations:

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

I restored the original hosts. But I'm having problems with l2mfix.bat. When i doubleclick on the file a MS-Dos-window appear in a millisecond. Then it closes again. It says something about there already is a file or catalogue with the name backlogs. But it doesn't seem to help if I erase the catalogue and tries again.

First click here>>> http://cexx.org/lspfix.htm to download LSPFix. Extract the program from the zip file and run it, make sure you click the "I know what I'm doing" button. Select aklsp.dll and using the right-pointing 'arrows' and move all instances of aklsp.dll it mentions to the Remove (RHS) side but leave everything else (it might already be over there when you open LSPFix). Click the 'Finished' button (if you exit with the X at top right nothing happens).


REBOOT to complete the task.

Download Ewido scanner fom the link below, it is a free scanner. Update it then scan your system and let it clean what it finds.

Then reboot and post a new log please.

As much as I am loathe to use an uninstaller sponsored by the Spyware company involved, what you have is very difficult to remove manually. However, it has been tested by some of our spyware researchers and no unexpected results or additional malware installs were noted at this time. Give this a try:

And only use it for this particular infection.

Follow the instructions for removal, reboot the PC and then post a new HijackThis log
