Welcome barrieguyeh.

Thank you for your patience. The forums are very busy. Sorry for the delayed respons.

Please read these instructions carefully. You may want to print them. Copy the text to a Notepad file and save it to your desktop! We will need the file later.
Be sure to follow ALL instructions!

First, let's download some helpers.

Please download the Killbox.
Unzip it to the desktop but do NOT run it yet.

Download CleanUp!.
If that doesn’t work, use this link.
Don't run the program, we'll do that later.

***

Please run Notepad and copy the following text into a new file:

@ECHO OFF
cd\windows
Nail.exe /FULLREMOVE
sc config SvcProc start= disabled
sc stop SvcProc
sc delete SvcProc
attrib -s -r -h nail.exe
attrib -s -r -h svcproc.exe
del nail.exe
del svcproc.exe
exit

Save the file to the desktop as remove.bat and make sure the "Save as type" field says "All files".

***

Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode.
Once in Safe Mode, please double-click on remove.bat. A window should open and close very quickly — this is normal.

***

Open HijackThis.
Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following, making sure you get them all and not any others by mistake:

R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - _{CFBFAE00-17A6-11D0-99CB-00C04FD64497} - (no file)

F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe C:\WINDOWS\Nail.exe

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [XPSP2 Firewall] C:\WINDOWS\system32\xpsp2fw.exe

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Windows Service] C:\WINDOWS\System32\video.exe

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Desktop Search] C:\WINDOWS\isrvs\desktop.exe

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [csbmyy] c:\windows\system32\zidbtt.exe

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Windows Update Client ] C:\WINDOWS\system32\wuclient.exe

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Windows Service] C:\WINDOWS\System32\video.exe

O15 - Trusted Zone: *.windupdates.com

O23 - Service: System Startup Service - Unknown - C:\WINDOWS\svcproc.exe

Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

***

Use Windows Explorer to delete this folder:
C:\WINDOWS\isrvs\

***

Find and doubleclick the file cleanup.

Go to option
Select ‘custom’
Put a check to:* Cookies
* Prefetch
* Temp
* All users.
Press 'cleanup!'

Once it's done, press "Close". Answer NO to the prompt to log off or reboot.

***

Double-click on Killbox.exe to run it.

Select "Delete on Reboot".

Open the text file with these instructions in it, and copy the file names below to the clipboard by highlighting them and pressing Control-C:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\xpsp2fw.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\video.exe
c:\windows\system32\zidbtt.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\wuclient.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\video.exe
Return to Killbox, go to the File menu, and choose "Paste from Clipboard".
Click the red-and-white "Delete File" button. Click "Yes" at the Delete on Reboot prompt. Click "No" at the Pending Operations prompt.

If you receive a message such as: "Component 'MsComCtl.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid." when trying to run TheKillbox, click here to download and run missingfilesetup.exe. Then try TheKillbox again..

Let the system reboot.

***

Scan the computer here:
http://www.ewido.net/en/
Let it do a full run, than copy the log. Past it to a blank Notepad file and save it to post here.
Than let it rerun. Save that log too.

Post back here with a fresh log using HijackThis and both scan results.
Hey G2! Thanks alot for your reply. I am working on your fix and will repost when finished. I will repost most likely by 7pm eastern Monday night. Thanks again!!!!
Okay I couldn't wait until tomorrow so I did as you asked. Here are the three logs you asked for. Seems we cleaned quite a bit save for the nasty nail file. Thanks again for your help and I'll await your next instructions!

You have Spybot S&D's Teatimer running which is good, but we need you to disable it for the remainder of the fix as it will interfere with the registry changes being made.
Open Spybot S&D in advanced mode, click Tools > Resident, and remove the check from "Resident Tea-Timer". Reboot after unchecking the entry.

***

Reset and Re-enable your System Restore to remove infected files that have been backed up by Windows. The files in System Restore are protected to prevent any programs changing those files. This is the only way to clean these files: (You will lose all previous restore points which are likely to be infected)

Turn off System Restore.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Reboot the system.

***

Please run Notepad and copy the following text into a new file:

@ECHO OFF
cd\windows
Nail.exe /FULLREMOVE
attrib -s -r -h nail.exe
del nail.exe
exit

Save the file to the desktop as remove.bat and make sure the "Save as type" field says "All files".

***

Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode.
Once in Safe Mode, please double-click on remove.bat. A window should open and close very quickly — this is normal.

***

Open HijackThis
Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following, making sure you get them all and not any others by mistake:

F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe C:\WINDOWS\Nail.exe

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [KernelFaultCheck] %systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -k

Then close all open windows except for HijackThis and click Fix Checked.

Exit HijackThis and reboot the system to normal mode.

***

Turn ON System Restore.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
UN-Check *Turn off System Restore*.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

***

Open Spybot S&D in advanced mode, click Tools > Resident, and add the check to "Resident Tea-Timer". Reboot after checking the entry.

Please post me a fresh log. How are thing now?

sorry for the many reboots :)
No prob, as you can see though, things aren't much better I'm afraid. Some points about my system you should know:

I am only running a Pentium 3 with only 128 MB of RAM and so my system slows up easily.

I have XP Pro scaled down to the old windows format and I have NOT downloaded Service Pack II and automatic updates are off because my system would just be too slow if I had all that. Right now it is crawling with this Nail thing and ewido running along with Norton and my XP software and now Tea Timer.

Last but not least I always keep system restore off for the very reason of infection and because I don't need that function. I followed your instructions to the tee however and this is what my newest log looks like

Also, I've read a post called nail.exe and it seems to relate to my problem and they seemed to have fixed it. Should we try rkbat or whatever that program is??
I ran remove.bat and it did it's thing. The spybot teatimer caught some changes that were being made and I hit "deny" but this file nail.exe needs to be removed another way obviously. Sorry, i appreciate your help though. I'll try anything!
Please run remove.bat again. Give Spybot permission at the prompt. Otherwise Spybot will put back the item we are trying to get ride of.
Ding Dong, the nail is GONE!!! I saw LDTATE's post and link to the uninstaller and tryed it and it seemed to take away the nasty nail.exe file. Here is a new log:
