Please download hoster from the link below.

http://members.aol.com/toadbee/hoster.zip

Open Hoster.exe.

Then click on "Restore Original Hosts"

Close program when complete.

Please download and run Spybot Search & Destroy and AdAware. Then follow the instructions in the links below to run.

Please do an online scan,

hey Siggyx thanks for your help ,i tried to follow your instructions but when i clicked on your first link about the aol hoster a window opened saying; Internet explorer cannot download Hoster.zip from members .aol.com as this page is unavailable but i could see the file transfer window in the back ground trying to transfer . i then ran spy bot and adaware again spybot found a DSOexploit ,ad aware found only negligable stuff , when i tried to go through the panda link i got a page saying ; google error requested URL/activescan/com/activescan_principle.htm was not found on this server . ive had this same message on quite a few sites . im not sure if i have deleted something or changed something i shouldnt have i have been trying to fix this for a few days but it is all a bit above my limited knowledge . any other advice would be much appreciated :blink:

that link worked a treat , done as you asked , only thing is i ran the panda scan the only thing it came up with were zango spyware files that it wont disinfect,but at least i got onto the site which is progress. :thumbup: heres my next log file hope it is all ok thanks again for your help it is much appreciated :D Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1

done as asked , although i didnt check the 03- toolbar file as it seems to be for mcafee , which i have since managed to reinstall , :thumbup: although i did send them an email about their carp** tech support . you were more help in two posts than they were in about 15 hours sat in front of this dayam screen ! is the free antivirus and firewall as effective as the ones i paid mcafee for ? because i really dont want to give them any more cash .
computer seems to be running ok just now although i developed a keyboard fault for the first time earlier and the internet was freezing . keyboard was ok after a restart and i hadnt done the last hijack fix when the internet was freezing its working fine just now :D

If you dont have these three programs I would recommend that you get them. Spywareblaster, Spywareguard and IESPY AD. They will add 1000's of sites to your resticted zone and block some hijacks from happening. In my signature below is also a tutorial on how to harden IE, a good read and very helpful to stop these things in the future. I also have a FREE FIREWALL and FREE ANTI VIRUS if you need one.

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system.

Keep your system up to date and run Adaware & Spybot, once a week works, and hopefully you will be ok from here on.
