Hello happyha, Welcome to TomCoyote forum. If you still need help please do this:

1) Please read what CastleCops has to say about this item. It is your option, if you want it remove you will need to search for it and delete the file.
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Alcmtr] ALCMTR.EXE
http://castlecops.com/startuplist-5306.html

2) Please look here: My Documents\HijackThis.exe and make a folder call HJT then move the HJT.exe the log that should be there into the folder. Needed to store backups for safety also. My Documents\HJT\HijackThis.exe

3) We need to remove a nasty item with HJT and Microsoft AntiSpyware may prevent us from doing this. Here are instruction for turning it off until you are done.
To disable the program, follow the instructions below:
A.) Right click on the Microsoft Antispyware tray icon (a little red and yellow circle looking thing)
B.) Click on Security Agents Status (Enabled)
C.) Click on Disable Real-time Protection.

4) Download CCleaner from this link: http://www.ccleaner.com/ Take the time to review the instructions on the download page so that when I ask you to run it you will know what you are doing.

5) Open Hijack this and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing
O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {0494D0D9-F8E0-41ad-92A3-14154ECE70AC} - (no file)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Alcmtr] ALCMTR.EXE
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Windows AdStatus] C:\Program Files\Windows AdStatus\WinStat.exe
Windupdates adware variant

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

SHOW HIDDEN FILES: Follow the instructions in the link to enable hidden files for your operating system.
You may wish to reverse this process if you have any concern about anyone getting into these hidden system files.
http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html

RIGHT click on Start then click on Explore. Locate and delete:

C:\Program Files\Windows AdStatus\ >>> folder

If you decided to remove ALCMTR.EXE I believe it is this folder?

Run CCleaner then restart the computer and post a new log in this same thread along with any feedback you have. Let us know if that fixed the problem.

Thanks…pskelley

OK happyha, Here is what I would like you to do.

This item does not identify. If you do not know what it is, then we will delete it. It looks like this in your log: O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [mfku] C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\mfku\mfkum.exe I suggest you look at the items properties if you are not sure what it is.

This item is still in your log and I do not know if you missed it as you said nothing about removing it and having it return? The link will provide information about it.
O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {FAA356E4-D317-42a6-AB41-A3021C6E7D52} - (no file)
http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/ISTbar.html

Here is information about the item Symantec appears to continue to locate. Does Symantec tell you the complete name and location of the item? You can use this information to manually check and delete it if you find it, if it is running you may have to delete it in safe mode: http://www.pchell.com/support/safemode.shtml
http://sarc.com/avcenter/venc/data/adware.sahagent.html

Acer has placed this item to make it easy for them to show you their adds, if you do not wish this to be your StartPage then check it for removal.
O14 - IERESET.INF: START_PAGE_URL=http://global.acer.com/

This item links to some kind of search site. I would remove it and be careful about any site you allow in the "Trusted Zone" as this is complete access to your computer.
O15 - Trusted Zone: http://ny.contentmatch.net (HKLM)

Turn off Microsoft AntiSpyware using the above instructions.

Open Hijack this and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {FAA356E4-D317-42a6-AB41-A3021C6E7D52} - (no file)
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [mfku] C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\mfku\mfkum.exe
O14 - IERESET.INF: START_PAGE_URL=http://global.acer.com/
O15 - Trusted Zone: http://ny.contentmatch.net (HKLM)

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

SHOW HIDDEN FILES, then Locate and delete this folder if you are satisfied it is bad:

C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\mfku >>> folder

Follow the instruction here: http://techrepublic.com.com/5100-6270-5165773.html To make sure all prefetch files have been deleted.
and here: http://www.personal-computer-tutor.com/deletingtempfiles.htm to be sure all temp files have been deleted. Make sure you also empty all tempory internet files in Internet Explorer.

Reboot and post a new log…thanks, pskelley
