Sorry, i kinda just threw a log at you there :D The main problem im having is a browser hikack to an "ABOUT : BLANK" page. other than that im showing signs of bandwidth loss and just seem to have more running than i did the other day. hopefully you can find out whats up for me :) Thanks in advance guys
Hello u20220, Welcome to TomCoyote forum, You do have some issues including a nasty trojan called Trojan.Eman, you can read a little about it here: http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcen…rojan.eman.html and Windupdates adware variant. I first need to call your attention to two things.

1) You are running HJT from Temporary zip file and it can not safely store the backups needed for safety. Please use the information in this link to correct this: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial94.html

2) Your security is critically deficient as you have no SP1 and no critical updates for your browser. It is not a question of if you will get infected again but rather when. You need to go to windows updates: IE > Tools > Windows Updates, and install all critical updates for your computer. I DO NOT suggest you install SP2 at this time. If you consider SP2 in the future this is information you must know: ttp://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/sp2/sp2_whattoknow.mspx

3) I see no About:Blank on the computer but to be safe I would like you to download, update and run CWShredder from here: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/Popu…WShredder.shtml This scan is free, make sure to choose FIX not scan then allow it to run and fex anything it does locate. Please let me know in your next post the results of this scan.

4) Download CCleaner from this link: http://www.ccleaner.com/ Please take the time to review the instructions on the download page so when I ask you to run it you will know what you are doing.

5) Open HJT then choose Do a system scan only then place a check in the box in front of these line items:

O2 - BHO: AntiSpyware Class - {F74B358E-6979-40a9-96CD-636C80B87AFF} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\ash.dll
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Media Access] C:\Program Files\Media Access\MediaAccK.exe
O4 - Global Startup: Microsoft Find Fast.lnk = C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\FINDFAST.EXE
O9 - Extra button: Related - {c95fe080-8f5d-11d2-a20b-00aa003c157a} - C:\WINDOWS\web\related.htm
O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Show &Related Links - {c95fe080-8f5d-11d2-a20b-00aa003c157a} - C:\WINDOWS\web\related.htm
O16 - DPF: {10000000-1000-0000-1000-000000000000} - file://C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\nilgmexr.exe
-TrojanDropper.Win32.Small.cw
O16 - DPF: {15AD6789-CDB4-47E1-A9DA-992EE8E6BAD6} - http://static.windupdates.com/cab/6247971C…/bridge-c46.cab
-Blazefind Windupdates Adware

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows then click on "Fix Checked"

SHOW HIDDEN FILES: Follow the instructions in the follow link to enable hidden files for your operating system.
You may wish to reverse this process if you have any concern about anyone getting into these hidden system files.
http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html

RIGHT click on Start then click on Explore, locate and delete these files or folders:

C:\Program Files\Media Access\ >>> folder

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\FINDFAST.EXE >>> File (careful to delete only the file)

Run CCleaner, then restart the computer, stay in this same thread and post a new log along with any comments you have or information I have asked for.

Thanks…pskelley

OK u20220, Your log is clean. I can tell you that you will not stay that way without the proper security patches for your Operating System. Here is a small free utility. Make sure you read the instructions and it will help clean out junk that spyware removers can't get to. http://www.ccleaner.com/
Here is some great information from Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler to help you stay clean and safe online:
