Hello mono, Welcome to TomCoyote forum. You have some nasties and if you are still looking for help, please follow these directions:

1) This item: O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [J003RkH3h] xconecat.exe does not identify with Google and as such we call it a random named trojan. If you do not know what it is, then we will delete it. If you know what it is let me know. Since it is not running from anywhere in running processes that I can see, then it is probably running from Prefetch. We will need to clean out all Temp, TIF and Prefetch Files. I will give you instructions for doing this a little later.

2) You have some search clutter compliments of MSN I would remove. I will schedule this and if you want to keep the clutter you can. I will leave your MSN Homepage and Google search plugins.

3) There are two IE restrictions set, these are 06 items if the log. If you did not set them, you may remove them. I will schedule this for you.

4) You have this: O15 - Trusted Zone: http://www.toecuttersden.com in your trusted zone. I would not allow anything that much access to your computer. I will remove it, leave it if you are SURE.

5) You have one hostile ActiveX: Blazefind Windupdates Adware. You need to take a hard look at how your ActiveX controls are set. This garbage should not be on your computer. I will supply links to this information when you are all clean.

Scan with HijackThis and check the box in front of these items.

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://www.microsoft.com/isapi/redir.dll?prd=ie&ar=iesearch
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = http://www.microsoft.com/isapi/redir.dll?prd=ie&ar=iesearch
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [J003RkH3h] xconecat.exe
O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions present
O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel present
O15 - Trusted Zone: http://www.toecuttersden.com
O16 - DPF: {15AD6789-CDB4-47E1-A9DA-992EE8E6BAD6} - http://static.windupdates.com/cab/CDT/ie/bridge-c2.cab
-Blazefind Windupdates Adware

Close all programs but HJT and all borwser windows then click on "Fix Checked"

I do not know where this item is: xconecat.exe You will need to search for it with Start, Search, Files and Folders. You may be able to delete it from there, if not navigate to the location, RIGHT click on Start then click Explore. Locate and delete that item. The file may be hidden.
SHOW HIDDEN FILES: Follow the instructions in the follow link to enable hidden files for your operating system.
You may wish to reverse this process if you have any concern about anyone getting into these hidden system files.

Now we need to get rid of the Temp, TIF and Prefetch stuff, this information will show you how to do this:
http://www.safecomputing.umn.edu/guides/tempdirectories.html
http://www.personal-computer-tutor.com/deletingtempfiles.htm

This utility will help you clean, I just started using it and I am not sure it cleans the Prefetch folder, you have manual instructions for doing this.

Empty the recycle bin and restart the computer. Stay in this same thread and post a new log along with your comments.

Thanks…pskelley
