Hello stuart.atkinson, Welcome to TomCoyote forums. If you are still looking for help, please follow these directions.

1) You have many instances of this in running programs and services. Please assure me that it is valid, and tell me what it is so I will know if I run into it again.
C:\CFusionMX

2) You have a nasty rouge product onboard. You can read about this item here: http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm once you have done that, please remove this product using Add Remove programs.
C:\Program Files\NoAdware3\NoAdware3.exe
http://castlecops.com/reviews-72.html
http://castlecops.com/reviews-186.html

3) I am not comfortable with the location of HJT.exe. (G:\Downloads\HJT\HijackThis.exe) HJT needs to store backups for safety and logs you create. Please go to your C:\ and point the mouse at a blank spot then make a NEW FOLDER called HJT. Move the HJT.exe into that new folder. Delete anything HJT left out of the folder. It will look like this: C:\HJT\HJT.exe and be perfectly positioned. Please do this before continuing with the instructions.

4) HJT must remove these items, if you have any software on board that blocks HJT, please turn it off until you finish.

5) Scan with HJT and place a check in the box in front of each line item:

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = \blank.htm
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [NoAdware3] "C:\Program Files\NoAdware3\NoAdware3.exe"
O16 - DPF: {56336BCB-3D8A-11D6-A00B-0050DA18DE71} (RdxIE Class) - http://software-dl.real.com/0296560f88b187…ip/RdxIE601.cab
-Netster

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows then click on "Fix Checked"

RIGHT click on Start then click on Explore, locate and delete this folder if it is left after Add Remove programs:

C:\Program Files\NoAdware3 >>> folder

Empty the recycle bin and restart the computer. Surf a bit to see how you are running, then staying in this same thread use add reply and post a new log along with your comments.

Thanks…pskelley

Hello Stuart, Thanks for that information about ColdFusion Server, blew me away because the next log had it in it. I had to look to see if it was the same log…lol.

Take a look at this item for me: C:\progra~1\valve\steam\steam.exe You will surely know if you use it or not, I show a possible trojan of the same name, here are links to both CastleCops ID keys:
http://castlecops.com/startuplist-4887.html
http://castlecops.com/startuplist-6766.html
I am about positive it is a good item, but there is nothing else in the log showing. Try this for the heck of it. Open Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options > Programs Tab > Reset Web Settings > Apply OK. Then set the home page you want and see what happens.
I will make some suggestion that I give others to look for stuff that might not show in the log. I am not familiar with the McAfee product you are using. Here is what I suggest, and I see Spybot on board but I would follow the instructions in the tutorials making sure you have the latest versions and they are updated and scan again to see if anything shows up. I will give you the names of a couple of free online scans. A fresh scan can never hurt. Then I will post my favorite three programs after Ad-aware and Spybot..SpywareBlaster, SpywareGuard and IE-Spyad, all are free and I am including tutorials for their use. Let's see what happens with these scans.

We need to run our big guns for cleaning out malware. Ad-aware and Spybot can get the areas we can't reach with the HJT tool. I am going to give you links to tutorials and it is important that you take the time to review the information, then to download, update, configure exactly as in the tutorials and remove what is suggested in the tutorials. Make notes of anything these two programs can't remove, the exact name and location of the item. Run Spybot first, if you receive any DSO Exploit notifications, ignore them and please do not activate TeaTimer at this time, once you are clean you may activate it. If Spybot removes anything reboot before running Ad-aware SE Personal.

Free online scans
Now I want you to use these free online scans to kill the trojans, set them to clean/fix and remember we need the complete name and location of anything the scans locate but can't kill.

I also suggest a cleanout of Temp, TIF and Prefetch files, here is some information about this if it helps.

Once the scans have been run, I would like to look at a new log and have feedback from you.
