Hello dirtysouthsylan and welcome to TomCoyote. :wavey:

After reviewing your log, I can find nothing bad in it. :)

You may get a noticeable speed improvement after removing PC-cillin 2002 and Norton Antivirus and installing AVG7. You should still have a firewall running on your computer. ZoneAlarm is a great Free firewall program if you currently are not using one.

As for optional items to remove, you can go into the programs themselves and see if they have the option to not run at startup.
AnswersThatWork.com is a good place to check on running processes to see if they are needed or not.

My own computer usually has 38-42 processes running at any given time, so yours is actually not that bad.

I'll give you my all clean speech which will contain some highly recommended free programs to help protect your computer.

I suggest that you get these programs to help keep the computer clean:

Spyware Blaster - Blocks bad ActiveX items from installing on your computer.
SpywareGuard - Real-time protection from spyware installation attempts
ie-spyad - Puts over 8,000 bad URLs into your restricted sites for Internet Explorer.
Google Toolbar - Blocks many unwanted pop-ups in Internet Explorer.
Firefox - Safer alternative to the Internet Explorer web browser.

Update these regularly.

You may also want to read "How did I get infected in the first place" to learn how to better secure your computer.

Be sure to keep Windows and your Anti-virus updated.
