System - XP Home SP2 with fireware and all ms updates

I've run ad-aware, antivirus, and ms antispyware beta, which seem to clean out everything. But after leaving my PC connected to net for a while then do a scan, I'll find about 10 different items.

Here's my hijackthis log:

Hello colemaji, Welcome to TomCoyote forum. If you are still looking for help please follow these directions:

I've run ad-aware, antivirus, and ms antispyware beta, which seem to clean out everything. But after leaving my PC connected to net for a while then do a scan, I'll find about 10 different items.

First I wish to know where these 10 different items are being found, by what progam and what does the program and you do about them? Remember the MS program is still Beta and has been know to give false readings. What does Ad-aware say?

This line indicates a Adware.180Search infection and the item is displayed in the log like this:
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Connection Wizard,ShellNext = http://www.180searchassistant.com/uninstal…ductId=598&id=0.
It is usually installed as part of another software program but I do not see a program that should be a host for it. Have you installed any new software recently?

Please review the information in the following link. You will see a link to a removal tool just under this title: Removal using the Adware.180Search Removal Tool. Review ALL of the information first so you will know what you are doing. Once this is complete, then move to the next instruction.
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcen….180search.html

Could you tell me what this item is in the next log. Thanks.

If the tool did it's job, the line reflecting the presense of the Adware.180Search may be gone, if it is there, make sure to check it. If you have any programs on board that may stop HJT from removing these items, turn them off during the fix.

Scan with HijackThis and check the box in front of these lines:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Connection Wizard,ShellNext = http://www.180searchassistant.com/uninstal…ductId=598&id=0
O16 - DPF: {1D0D9077-3798-49BB-9058-393499174D5D} - file://c:\counter.cab
-Adult Content Dialer

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows and click on "Fix Checked"
Clean Like this: Start, Run type "cleanmgr" without the quotes then ok. Check and remove anything windows locates. Empty the recycle bin and restart the computer.
Stay in this same thread, DO NOT start a new topic, post a new log along with any comments you think I should have.

Thanks…pskelley

The 'mobile' line is for a Dell pocket PC. A button gets added to IE when I installed their software. I did everything you said. Thanks so much for your help. Everything is clear now!
I would appreciate one last log for a final "All Clear", I will have some great information to help you stay clean after I view that last log. Thanks…pskelley
OK, I will give you the all clean information anyway, you can apply it to your computer and send it to your friend. Good luck and safe surfing.
