Download KillBox.zip from here:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/spyware/KillBox.zip
Place it in a folder on your Desktop.

Extract KillBox from the zip file and double-click on KillBox.exe to run it.

In the main screen of Pocket KillBox, go to Tools in the top menu bar, and select: Delete Temp Files.

Back at the main screen of KillBox, select the option: Delete on Reboot

In the Full Path of File to Delete box, copy and paste this entry:
C:\WINNT\System32\open32.exe
Press the button with a red circle and a white X.
When asked if you would like to Reboot, select No.

Do the same as above for each of the files that follow, and select No when asked to reboot! Press the button with a red circle and a white X.
C:\WINNT\System32\mszx23.exe

Finally, in the Full Path of File to Delete, copy and paste the following:
C:\WINNT\System32\snim.dll
Press the button with a red circle and a white X.
When asked to Reboot, select Yes!!

Run Hijack This again and put a check by these.

The file mszx23.exe still doesn't delete. I get a message about how another program is currently using it. Also, hijackthis still closes when I tried to get rid of the Protocol hijack. And I'm still getting the stupid dialer and Norton messages! I couldn't delete the protocol hijack: mhtml and the mszx23.exe file. I searched for this on google earlier and I'm assuming that it's the cause for all my problems? The dialer seems to have disappeared…but I'm not sure. The IE windows keep closing and opening and popping up all over the place though. It won't work unless you do this

First, Disconnect from the Internet!!

(Please copy these instructions to NotePad for copy/paste use, since you will be off the Internet.)

Close ALL windows and browsers
Oh I did disconnect. The only time I connected was when I posted my hijackthis log. I'm currently on another computer so I can look at the posts while I do all of this on my infected computer.
Are you comfortable using regedit? If, so click Start>Run and type regedit >OK

Navigate in the pane on the Left Hand Side to this key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

and click it to highlight it. A list of Programs will appear in the Right Hand pane, right-click this one:

C:\WINNT\System32\mszx23.exe <–Delete this one.

While still in regedit: Click My Computer> Edit> Find type in mhtml
See if you can find one with Protocol hijack: If so, delete it also

Don't delete any other entries. Exit regedit, rescan with HJT and post a new log.
I couldn't find mszx23.exe but I could find mszx23.exe !!, however I couldn't delete it. I couldn't find mhtml either.
