Problem Running Hijack

Hi I am trying to run the HijackThis software for the first time. I downloaded the zip and extracted it to a separate folder. Now when i try tot run the program, it aborts at the end while checking "023 NT Services" and only two options i get are either to "clsoe" or "debug"…..can someone let me know what i am doing wrong?
