Devilman and OldTimer I'll help you out here.

Could you please do this for me:

Here's a little app by by rand1038 to find all the unknow services:

1. Please download Service Filter
http://home.comcast.net/~rand1038/vbscript/ServiceFilter.zip
2. Extract it to it's own folder.
3. Click on ServiceFilter.vbs
4. A text file called POST_THIS will be in the same folder
5. Please use Edit>Select all then Edit>Copy to obtain the contents back here with a fresh HJT log.
If possible try not to turn off or reboot the computer until I get back to you.

Thanks Devilman, I merged all the posts, so stay in this one from now on. The reason we had you do this is because your HJT log shows signs of a nasty CoolWebSearch Hijacker and we want to make sure we remove it completely.

Now could you please post a fresh HJT log and I'll get back asap.

In meantime to speed things along, could you download these program - please don't run any of them yet!

Please download and unzip
AboutBuster to a folder. Inside the folder is a readme file that has instructions on the use of the program.
AboutBuster MUST be updated before you use it.
Start AboutBuster, click the update button, check for update, drag the box to the side and hit download updates, close the box . Don't run it yet.
Current reference list # is 23

Please download and install AD-Aware.
Check Here on how setup and use it - please make sure you update it first.

Download and unzip cwsserviceremove to your desktop. use link below:
http://computercops.biz/modules.php?name=F…ownload&id=3002

Download CW-Shredder at the link below:
http://cwshredder.net/bin/CWShredder.exe

Do this for me:

Open Windows Explorer & Go to Tools > Folder Options. Click on the View tab and make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is checked.
Also uncheck "Hide protected operating system files" and untick "hide extensions for known file types" . Now click "Apply to all folders"
Click "Apply" then "OK"

Download this file:
xphidden. Extract xphidden.reg from the zip file and save it to the desktop. When done, double-click the xphidden.reg and when asked to merge say yes.

Don't forget the fresh HJT log, Thanks, MrC

Please read through the instructions before you start (you should print this out).

First of all, open Spybot S&D, click Mode>Advanced>Tools>Resident and remove the check from the Tea Timer box. You can reinstate it later but we don't want it interfering with what we need to do. Reboot when done.

Here's the fix:

Important Step
1. Go to Start->Run and type "Services.msc" (without quotes) then hit Ok
Scroll down and find the service called:
Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Helper <–this is exactly what it looks like

When you find it, double-click on it. In the next window that opens, click the Stop button, then click on properties and under the General Tab, change the Startup Type to Disabled. Now hit Apply and then Ok and close any open windows.

Repeat the procedure for:
Working Network Connections and NT Log Checker

2. Reboot into SafeMode. <—MAKE SURE YOU KNOW HOW TO DO THIS!!

3. Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete once => Click Task Manager => Click the Processes tab => Double-click the Image Name column header to alphabetically sort the processes => Scroll through the list and look for:

ntmscirt.exe
hicom.exe
