heres my hijacklog could you please look at it. I think that prosearch is bundled with the aim. Is this true for I need my aim. The computer is acting funny to say the least it wont let me download some programs like belarc.. so here is my log….

Please download and run CWShredder. Make sure that all browser windows are closed with the exception of Cwshredder and choose FIX.

Please download and run Spybot Search & Destroy and AdAware. Then follow the instructions in the links below to run.

Please do an online scan,

Trend Micro http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp

Make sure that you choose "fix" or "clean".

Reboot and post a new HiJackThis log.

OK can u explain to me about these nasties i have? im no expert but require to know a couple of things and if im wrong please correct me, now ur recommendations say that i need to download the cws shereder, can u tell me why, i dont see any varients of www.cool web search, just curious, if there is any spyware on here, can u tell me, please and thank u so much for looking this over

S, thank u for responding back to me, i have been working on my puter too all nite long! lol, ok i have done what u have told me to do, oh boy, this is too much work! lol, but so far what i have done was downloaded the adware SE, and omg! u would not belive what i have found in there, it was a mess, i dont know anything about the adware and had a little trouble with it. but i have looked it over and done what i was supose to do, from that link u gave me, now i have my mru's on ignore list, and the rest of the criticals are in the quarantine, now my question is, do i leave in there, the ones that say, malaware and crtical? well so far i have left in the quarantine list, and have not deleted it yet, do i need to? now what im going to do now, is download that cws next ok, i will post my log back to u, possibly tonite, cuz im soooooooo tired, lol. geez, i really hate this kind of commucation, lol well if u feel more comfortable, u could email me at [removed] or i have the yahoo mess and aim at xana555, i really want to email u the new log now, sinse i have done some work on it, well as far as the adware SE goes, and also i want to thank u for taking time in helpin me, im no expert at puters, ok im going to go take a nap now, as iam tired and been up all nite with this dam puter, lol, i cant belive that adware SE found alot of crap in there! they are in quarantine, and dont know if i should let them stay in there or what? sorry for the lonnnnng message, lol many blessings for u, and love and light-lisa

Scan with hijackthi and put a heck beside this line and choose FIX. R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page_bak = prosearching.com Then reboot and post a new log. That was all that was in there how is it running?

OMG! S, yea its running purrrrrrfect now, lol and u know what?? i have more space and mem too!!! And the pages load pretty fast, even though i have a dinsour, lol, but its running smoothe!!!! sheesh, i knew i was forgetting something, like the prosearch, i will go do and post ur log back to u, i cant believei could do this on my own too, i did have some of some help though, but thanks all to u, very frustrating, these puters these days, but im learning, and this was my first, hijack that i did, and the fixes too. ok now im going to go now, and post back to u with another log for u, soon, give me like a couple of hrs., ok, maybe tonite somtime, real late ( i think i tend to enjoy my nights better). lol ok thanks again and see u soon.

Its running like a purrrrfect kitten! i have gained lots of space too! i cleaned out temp files and cookies and the prefetched, runs smoothly! smooth sailing now! thanks alot, and thanks for all ur help, much appreciated! blessed be to u and urs! lisa

If you dont have these three programs I would recommend that you get them. Spywareblaster, Spywareguard and IESPY AD. They will add 1000's of sites to your resticted zone and block some hijacks from happening. I also have a FREE FIREWALL and FREE ANTI VIRUS if you need one.

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system.

Keep your system up to date and run Adaware & Spybot, once a week works, and hopefully you will be ok from here on. Both are available below.
