hi there..im a newbie at using hijackthis..i just installed it on my pc coz im having a bit of a problem with my browser being hijacked (or so i think)..im posting my logfile hoping that some of you forum members might show me what to do with my current spyware problem..thnx in advance..

Welcome to the forum.

Please do this for me:

Please download and unzip
AboutBuster to a folder. Inside the folder is a readme file that has instructions on the use of the program.
AboutBuster MUST be updated before you use it.
Start AboutBuster, click the update button, check for update, drag the box to the side and hit download updates, close the box . Don't run it yet.
Current reference list # is 23

Then download CW-Shredder at the link below:
http://cwshredder.net/bin/CWShredder.exe

Reboot into SafeMode

Run CW-Shredder - Hit the FIX button and let it run and fix what it finds.

Now run AboutBuster - see if it finds anything.

Reboot and see how it is.

Now do this:

Download FxAgentB.exe from HERE and save it to your desktop. After downloading, double-click the FxAgentB file to run it and the program will scan your entire hard drive - this may take a while. When it is done, it will generate a log file called FxAgentB.log - save that information as you will need to paste it here later. Reboot when done.

Let me know if this program finds anything and post a fresh HJT log. MrC

thnx mr charlie for taking time tohelp me with my pc problem..i did all the instructions that u told me to do (to the letter), yet when i ran the fxagentb there was no log created when it finished scanning..and i've tried all know anti spyware softwares like spybot and ad aware, but it seems that everytime i open my browser im being redirected to a site different from my original one.. are there other ways of getting rid of this hijacking programs in my pc..i would really appreciate it if u could help me on this one..many thnx in advance..
