Hi,
My computer takes a long time to load, freezes at times, and like I dont have enough ram (1GB). I have run numerous virus and trojan scans, but have found nothing. Also, recently I may have a key logger record and send out some info, because n Dec 2004 a fraudulent transaction was done online on a credit card account. I use AOL as my Web browser.

Thanks,
Saxman

Hello Faustino, Welcome to TomCoyote forum. Not much bad in the log, we will clean out some of the junk plugged into your browser and see how it runs.

You are running WinPatrol, you will need to turn it off as it will block the changes we wish to make.

Hi pskelly,

Thanks for you help. It is much appreciated! I followed your instructions as written. This is what happened after I rebooted.
A screen popped up stating,

"A change has been detected in your Internet Explorer Search Page

Your New page is

If this is ok, then click Yes or press enter

Click No or press ESC and we'll restore your page to
http://viplolita.com/home/index.cgi"

I clicked yes even thought there was nothing after "Your New Page is". I know that we were trying to get rid "viplolita.com/home/index.cgi"

Then a message stateing:

"NT On-Access Scanner service has encontered a problem and needs
to close."

I said no to sending the error code to microscoft. I have seen this error message come up serveral times before. Over all my systems seems to be a little better. Below is my lastest HiJackThis scan.

Hello Faustino, Here is how to set your browser to the Homepage you wish to have:
Open IE > Click on Tools at the top > Click on Internet Options > General Tab: in the Homepage section, type in the address of the Homepage you wish to have. I do not use it but WinPartrol should have a setting to block the Homepage from being changed. According to the log your Homepage should be: http://www.rr.com/

I clicked yes even thought there was nothing after "Your New Page is". I know that we were trying to get rid "viplolita.com/home/index.cgi"

This is very correct, that address was a redirect to a porn site. I am not yet sure why the message below was displayed.

NT On-Access Scanner service has encontered a problem and needs
to close."

A review of the log shows NO malware, and I will have some information to help you stay clean below, but wish to make a few comments. I see that you have much stuff in the log that was placed there by AOL. They tend to do this even installing software that is not needed without asking permission. A search of the of the items in http://www.google.com/ will return information about these AOL items. I would ask your ISP which of them is really needed and get rid of what is not.
I also suggest you run a complete maintenance on this computer, scan disk and defrag. You also have programs running at start up that may not be needed, use the following links to investigate the running programs to help you decide:

Here is information about MSCONFIG if you need it:

Here is some great information from Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler that will help you stay clean and safe online.

Hi, I have done as you suggested and things have cleared up some. I will continue to look at what is in my start up and see what is not necessary. Thanks
