Hi all! Siggy, I'm sorry, but it got us again. Don't know how, but it did. Wish I knew where this was coming from!

Anyways, here's my log (PS: been scanning and using all the spyware programs all afternoon trying to pin this one down, so this log is pretty clean):

Lovely, isn't it?
Help is sincerely appreciated!
Thanks!

Bump again! Things are really slowing down, can't access Mcafee Security Center or do Panda's Activescan. Virusscan updates won't load. I hate this trojan. If I could get my hands on the twerp that released it……
Can you upload this file for a scan at the link below and post the log it produces,

C:\WINNT\system32\WinnConfig.exe

Here >>> http://www.kaspersky.com/scanforvirus

Also try and download stinger and scan your system with it.

Here >>> http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/

Also Boot to safe

Please download and run CWShredder. Make sure that all browser windows are closed with the exception of Cwshredder and choose FIX.

http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/Popu…WShredder.shtml

REBOOT

Please download and run Spybot Search & Destroy and AdAware. Then follow the instructions in the links below to run.

Spybot Tutorial

AdAware Tutorial

Please do an online scan,

Trend Micro http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp

or

Bitdefender http://www.bitdefender.com/scan/licence.php

Make sure that you choose "fix" or "clean".

Reboot and post a new HiJackThis log.
Hi Siggy! Did all that you asked, Kaspersky found the following:

Backdoor.Win32.Agobot.gen

Stinger couldn't get rid of it, running the latest version. Trendmicro found it as well, but couldn't get rid of it because it said the file was in use. So here's the resulting log:

Oh, it's so nice to have the speed back. But I did see two teensy boxes on startup that said "System Error - Unable to open dialog". Not sure what they're all about. And my Virusscan just updated itself, beautiful. That hasn't happened in days. Here's the resulting log:

I didn't find WinnConfig.exe when I searched in safe mode. Can I ask, where do you think that trojan came from? I have spyware programs out the wazoo, but I still seem to get dinged? Is it somewhere I'm going that I'm not supposed to be?

Thanks again Siggy, you're a lifesaver!
Amanda
I don't think this program is running correctly, it's stopped at 721 files scanned and has stayed that way for twenty minutes. I'm not sure if it's done or not…..trying again. Well this time it stopped at 719, I'll leave it alone for a while. It only found one this time, still scanning (?) at forty minutes past and still stopped at 719. There were two the last time though. Everything is still hanging, faster but hanging. I'll post this one, shutdown and reboot, and try that scan again. Here's what it came up with so far: File C:\progra~1\common~1\Updates\opware12.exe tagged as not-a-virus:RiskWare.mIRC.6.03. No Action Taken. There was another one, hopefully if I can get it to run properly I can post the other virus as well.
Well, there's something going on here. It's now been over an hour and this time it's stopped at 689. Maybe it's supposed to do that, I don't really know. I don't think it is…. Anyways, this time it's showing both viruses: File C:\progra~1\common~1\Updates\opware12.exe tagged as not-a-virus:RiskWare.mIRC.6.03. No Action Taken. File C:\progra~1\common~1\Updates\msnve.exe tagged as not-a-virus:Tool.Win32.HideRun. No Action Taken. And my computer's slowing down, again. You know, I hate smilies, but here's me right about now: :rant2: Talk to you later! Amanda
Boot to safe mode and look for and delete these files

C:\progra~1\common~1\Updates\opware12.exe
C:\progra~1\common~1\Updates\msnve.exe

Then while still in safe mode do the escan. Then post the log and a new hijackthis log.
I don't know why, but that escan doesn't work. Let it run and run, and this time it stopped at 439 files scanned. Didn't find anything in those 439 files, but it didn't go any farther. I deleted those two files. Here's the HJT log from safe mode, maybe it will shed some light on the subject:

Well, it found two possible trojans that it can't remove: Found possible trojan file: C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\02\rar.exe (Suspicious: UPX-packed file in Windows System folder) (What's a possible trojan file?) (Submit for analysis…) (Add to ignore list) Found possible trojan file: C:\WINNT\system32\yoyo2.exe (Suspicious: UPX-packed file in Windows System folder) I haven't submitted them for analysis yet, I'll wait to hear back from you first! Thanks! Amanda
