Hello again shannon01. After reviewing your log we have a few things to clean up. This will take a number of steps. Please print these directions because I'm going to ask you to close all open windows (including this one). Now follow these steps:

Step #1

Please download and run the following adware scanning applications:

Spybot Search & Destroy and
AdAware SE Personal.

Then follow the instructions in the links below to run.

Spybot Tutorial
AdAware Tutorial

Step # 2

Run both of the following on-line virus scans:

Trend Micro Housecall and
BitDefender On-Line Virus Scan

Make sure that you choose "fix" or "clean".

Step # 3

You are currently running an older version of HighjackThis. Please follow these directions to get the latest version:

1. Please go to you're 'My Documents' folder, right-click and select 'New > Folder' and name the folder 'HijackThis'.

2. Download HijackThis to the new folder from this website: http:/www.tomcoyote.org/hjt/

3. If you downloaded the zip version double-click on 'HijackThis.zip' to extract and install HijackThis.exe to the new folder.

4. Close ALL windows except HJT.

5. Click the SCAN button. When the scan is complete the same button will now say 'Save Log'. When you click the SAVE LOG button a notepad window will open with the log in it. Pres Ctrl-A to'select all', Ctrl-C to 'copy' the log to the clipboard.

6. POST the log in this thread using the 'Add Reply' button. Click in the data-entry window and press Ctrl-V to 'paste' the log into the window. Add any other comments which you believe might be helpful in our analysis.
7. Click the 'Add Reply' button.

8. I will review your log as quickly as I can.


DO NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES OR CLICK "FIX CHECKED" UNTIL WE CHECK THE LOG, AS SOME OF THE FILES ARE LEGIT AND VITAL TO THE FUNCTION OF YOUR COMPUTER
