Hello Jeff, Welcome to TomCoyote forum. If you are still looking for help, I will give it a try. All I ask is that you try you best to follow directions and if you do not understand something, ask a question rather than proceeding. Thanks.

Here is some information that might come in handy at some point:
SP2 CD
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloa…us/default.mspx
What you should know
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/sp2/sp2_whattoknow.mspx

You have a nice collection of trojans and adware on your computer. I am surprised Spybot is not install if you were serviced here before?
First Jeff, as you can see in the next line, you are running HJT from a Temporary Directory. HJT needs it's own folder for safe backup and logfile storage. Here is a link: http://russelltexas.com/malware/faqhijackthis.htm
Please use that information to create that safe folder. If it helps, I can say: MyComputer, then the C drive, right click on a blank spot and create a new folder. Put HJT.exe in the folder and delete everything that is not in the folder.
HJT will look like this: C:\HJT\HijackThis.exe If you have a issue moving the zip file, delete it all and download, then quide this .exe file to your HJT folder.
http://www.merijn.org/files/HijackThis.exe
Jeff\Local Settings\Temp\Temporary Directory 1 for hijackthis.zip\HijackThis.exe

Below is the collection, this is too much to remove safely with HJT, I will be using tools, a review of the links under the item will educate you, and make you aware of what we are after with the scans. The items that don't identify are most certainly malware, you may search to assure yourself of this.

C:\Program Files\AutoUpdate\AutoUpdate.exe
http://startup.iamnotageek.com/srch-AutoUpdate.exe.html
C:\WINDOWS\System32\msrtedit.exe
(does not identify)
C:\WINDOWS\System32\trkui2.exe
(does not identify)
C:\Program Files\CxtPls\CxtPls.exe
Apropos Adware
C:\Program Files\DeskAd Service\DeskAdServ.exe
C:\Program Files\DeskAd Service\DeskAdKeep.exe
Windupdates adware variant
http://computercops.biz/startuplist-6902.html
O2 - BHO: Flash Extender - {95795B67-BBAB-47d0-8A9F-069E8242C0E5} - c:\Program Files\Fen\fen.dll
http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/FlashTrack.html

We need to run our big guns for cleaning out malware. Ad-aware and Spybot can get the areas we can't reach with the HJT tool. I am going to give you links to tutorials and it is important that you take the time to review the information, then to download, update, configure exactly as in the tutorials and remove what is suggested in the tutorials. Make notes of anything these two programs can't remove, the exact name and location of the item. Run Spybot first, if you receive any DSO Exploit notifications, ignore them and please do not activate TeaTimer at this time, once you are clean you may activate it. If Spybot removes anything reboot before running Ad-aware SE Personal.
Spybot:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial43.html
Ad-aware:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial48.html
http://www.cjwdavis.co.uk/s-a.html

Now I want you to use these free online scans to kill the trojans, set them to clean/fix and remember we need the complete name and location of anything the scans locates but can't kill. If either scans fails to work, post the information and I will supply another.
http://www.misec.net/trojanhunter/
http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/co…n_principal.htm

At this point, Clean Like this: Start, Run type "cleanmgr" without the quotes then ok. Check and remove anything windows locates. Enpty the recycle bin and restart the computer.
Use the following two links to stay in this thread, post a new log with information from the scans and your feedback, anything you think we should know.
When replying to your topic, please use the
http://forums.tomcoyote.org/style_images/1/t_reply.gif
button NOT the
http://forums.tomcoyote.org/style_images/1/t_new.gif
button.
Thanks…pskelley

OK, thanks. I didn't think it was that messed up. But, I ran Ad-Aware and SpyBot numerous times with restarts inbetween, and then ran Trojan Hunter two times. I think that it must be pretty cleaned out, but i'm still getting a few popups with IE at my yahoo homepage. But, maybe that was just a fluke.

Anyways, here is my new log.

Just curious if you see anything else that the programs may have missed. Thanks!

Jeff

Ok Jeff, You understand sir, that you are still running HijackThis from a temporary directory.
C:\DOCUME~1\Jeff\LOCALS~1\Temp\Temporary Directory 1 for hijackthis.zip\HijackThis.exe
I have made you aware of the need to place HijackThis.exe in a permanent folder, and do so once again.

I would like you to look at these items and see if you can tell me what they are. You can search and look in properties if you are not sure:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Java\fecpy.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [BPT] "C:\Program Files\Bpt\bpt.exe"

Appears you have ignored my instruction not to activate TeaTimer until this cleanup is finished, I would appreciate it if you want my help, that you try to follow directions Thanks.

Run Spybot first, if you receive any DSO Exploit notifications, ignore them and please do not activate TeaTimer at this time, once you are clean you may activate it.

You will need to turn it off to make the changes you are about to make.

Open Task Manager then the Processes Tab, look for and end process on these items if there:
[4FsQ34g] ckcccu32.exe
DeskAd Service\DeskAdServ.exe
[Lo34RQM2i] cid_32.exe
(Don't miss them, if we can't end process we will have to use Safe Mode to remove them, they are trojans!!

Open HijackThis and click on SCAN, then check each of these line items:

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows then click on "Fix Checked"

RIGHT click on Start, then click on Explore. Locate and remove this folder:

C:\Program Files\DeskAd Service\ >>> folder

Run Cleanmgr again, empty the recycle bin and restart the computer. Post a new log, make sure you supply the information I asked for about the two items above.
Thanks…pskelley
