Hello Graham, Welcome to TomCoyote forum, I will give it a try. I like to run Ad-aware and Spybot which are the big guns against adware, but your log does not look to bad and I will ask you to run them later. I also see SpywareGuard which is a great program that I suggest but it may interfere with the removal we wish to make, so you will need to turn it off.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\fgxiju.exe
(trojan)

The above item is in running processes, open Task Manager then the Processes Tab, end process on the item.
fgxiju.exe

Use these instructions to enable hidden files for your Operating System:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/ind…showtutorial=62

Scan with HijackThis and check each of these item lines:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer,SearchURL = http://www.popupsearches.com/sidesearch.html
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = http://www.popupsearches.com/sidesearch.html
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = http://www.popupsearches.com/sidesearch.html
O2 - BHO: ohb - {4D568F0F-8AC9-40AB-88B7-415134C78777} - (no file)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [fliukivpy] C:\WINDOWS\system32\fgxiju.exe
O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {237AA178-C3BC-4f67-A8BB-D8BC14BA0B89} - (no file)
O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {237AA178-C3BC-4f67-A8BB-D8BC14BA0B89} - (no file) (HKCU)

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows then click on "Fix Checked"

RIGHT click on Start then click on Explore. Locate and delete this file:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\fgxiju.exe >>> file

Run Cleanmgr: Start, Run type "cleanmgr" without the quotes then ok. Check and remove anything windows locates.
Empty the recycle bin and restart the computer.

Now I would like you to use the following three links to download, update and configure Ad-aware SE personal and Spybot S&D 1.3. (if you receive DSO Exploit notifications from Spybot's scan, ignore them)
The tutorials are very important so you will know what to remove. Run Spybot first, and IF Spybot locates and removes anything restart before you run Ad-aware.
Spybot:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial43.html
Ad-aware:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial48.html
http://www.cjwdavis.co.uk/s-a.html

Use the following two links to stay in this thread, post a new log along with any feedback you think we should have.
When replying to your topic, please use the

button NOT the

button.
