I have read a post by LorJJan4 that has to deal with my problem. On the 3rd page of his post he talks about not being able to see the documents he has deleted in the Recycle bin and when he trys to empty the bin it says "Do you want to Delete (blank #) of files?" But their isnt any files in the bin at all. I believe shelf life was the one who helped LorJJan4. He showed him how to fix it with killbox and Find Vx2.Betterinternet xp/2k. I want to make sure i dont mess anything up, thats y i havent followed what shelf life told LorJJan4. If anyone can help, plz do. I ran Hijackthis and heres my log. Dont know if that will help any.

Hello A-tech-U, welcome to the TC

Go to Start>Run, and type in: cmd
Select: OK
At the cmd prompt, type the following commands and press Enter after each:

cd\
attrib -h -s c:\recycler
del c:\recycler

Create a blank NotePad file again, and delete it. Do you now get asked if you want to send the file to the Recycle Bin, and then the file shows up in the RB? If that is the case, you‘re good!

You do have some bad guys in your log :o

This is what I suggest you do.

Download CWShredder from my signature below. Unzip it on the desktop.
Open CWShredder and with ALL other windows closed, click fix.

Go here and run online scans (all), allow them to delete whatever they find:

TrendMicro HouseCall
eTrust AntiVirus Web Scanner
Panda ActiveScan
Note any thing that can't be fixed
Reboot when done.

Next:

Even if you've already run these, make SURE they're up-to-date and run per instructions.

Make sure you have the up-to-date versions of Spybot V 1.3 and Ad-aware SE Build 1.05 . All are free and available below.

Download Spybot, install and update. Then download Ad-aware, install, and update.

Spybot:

Install the program and launch it.

Go to Start > Programs >Spybot > Search & Destroy and choose Spybot S&D

Close ALL windows except Spybot S&D
Click the button to "Search for Updates" and download and install the Updates.
Next click the button "Check for Problems"
When Spybot is complete, it will be showing "RED" (RED) entries "BLACK" entries and "GREEN" (GREEN) entries in the window
Put a check mark beside the RED (RED) entries ONLY.
Choose "Fix Selected Problems" and allow Spybot to fix the RED (RED) entries.

Ad-Aware FULL SCAN:

Install the program and launch it.

First in the main window look in the bottom right corner and click on Check for updates now then click Connect and download the latest reference files.

From main window :Click Start then under Select a scan Mode check Perform full system scan.
Next deselect Search for negligible risk entries.
Now to scan just click the Next button.

When the scan is finished mark everything for removal and get rid of it.(Right-click the window and choose select all from the drop down menu and click Next)

Empty Recycle Bin

Reboot and "copy/paste" a new log file into this thread.
Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.
ive dont all that ya told me. i ran cwshredder in safe mode too. heres my log hope its good.

If you dont have these three programs I would recommend that you get them. Spywareblaster, Spywareguard and IESPY AD. They will add 1000's of sites to your resticted zone and block some hijacks from happening. I also have a FREE FIREWALL and FREE ANTI VIRUS if you need one.

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system.

Keep your system up to date and run Adaware & Spybot, once a week works, and hopefully you will be ok from here on. Both are available below.

Safe Surfing. :D
You dont know how much i thank u. i can finally leave my comp and do other stuff now lol. thanks a mill man. she seems to be running just fine

just wanted to know if u knew what happen to some of the stuff that i deleted when my bin wasnt working

I'm sure it was deleted.

Your Recycle Bin is still messing up?
it was messed up. but i fixed it now. works fine. and about those files i was asking about. i just remember what it asked me when it was messed up. "Confirm file delete Are you sure u want to delete (somefile)?" and when i deleted something now it ask me "Confirm file delete Are u sure u want to send (somefile) to recycle bin? so all that stuff i delete when it was messed up was deleted like u said. so me saying that doesnt make any difference. lol but ill see about that recycle bin, if it gets messed up again ill come post something in this for again.
that forum i wrote about reading. the guy shelf life to the other guy to do this.

open killbox and copy and past this path to the desktop.ini

C:\RECYCLER\Desktop.ini

select standard file kill, click red x, file will be deleted;
next run vx2finder

Click the "Find Vx2.Betterinternet" button.

Click on these buttons in the right pane unless they are "greyed" out:

user agent, Guardian.reg, restore policy

Exit and reboot.

i read about the other too programs in the forum. im not sure what it does so i didnt do any of it. i got a link to the post http://forums.tomcoyote.org/index.php?showtopic=24254&st=30 just thought that it may help if my bin gets messed up again.
That way works also if you have Killbox. open killbox and copy and past this path to the desktop.ini C:\RECYCLER\Desktop.ini select standard file kill, click red x, file will be deleted;
